Its a great idea to award such a Trophy for best overall club. However, right now its a completely misleading award that's heavily dictated by the AFLW teams expansion. Meaning its hard to take it seriously for now as the AFLW competition is horrendously uneven with over half the teams uncompetitive.

One thing I hadn’t noticed but against Collingwood (x 2), Melbourne and Brisbane in those 4 losses by 6 points or less we had more scoring shots. Now that doesn’t mean anything particularly but to do it 4 times against the top 4 means we do need to clean up our goal scoring accuracy.

I never said there aren't exceptions. I just don't think the AFLW is at its best and most even yet to provide a true indication. Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane and North all came within the 1st and 2nd expansions and made up the top 4. What I am saying is this suggests that there are teams that are still building their sides. Plus they only play 10 rounds. Which means a lot of ladder is manipulated by who they played and where.

Look within 5 years it will be a great award. Just not now.
