I have no doubt that if Carlton is reasonable, the deal will get done. If they are like some of their supporters then the deal will not get done in a million years.

As I said, I am confident that the deal will get done with both parties behing happy with what they get and it won't be anywhere near as outlandish as some suggestions here.

Carlton fans have been a lot more reasonable than some of the deluded Adelaide fans, you included.

I doubt any deal will get done because Carlton want Walker to stay. Carlton will want something more than satisfactory for Walker if he's going to be traded which I don't think Adelaide will be willing to give.
And Adelaide know this... else they won't be going after a contracted player.. they went after Griffin, they went after Hurn, they went after Pav... Craig knows he needs to bolster his team, cause another mediocre year and he'll be out of a job (been there for a long time without any real achievement)... if first rounder or young kpp prospect is offered (i.e. McKernan) we will accept...

This goes in line with that Paul Roos said about us a couple of years back.

We come to the trade table being fair and reasonable and don't play the games that other clubs do. He even labelled us as a great club to deal with.....

Think Ratten made those "great club to deal with" comments. He shouldn't be saying anything until the trade week is over since he doesn't do the negotiations. Pretty sure Swan thought the Lions were "a great club to deal with" as well. Do you get the point?

Anyway on the Walker trade in particular, we have a huge amount of leverage in that trade because:

1. The Crows really want Walker

2. Walker HAS NOT walked out on the Club. Has clearly said he'd be happy to play for the Blues in 2011 if no deal is struck

3. Walker is contracted.

For these reasons, the Crows are going to have to offer something pretty impressive to get the trade through. Pick 14 minimum, plus a pick upgrade.

:)

Rumour that Sellar is having a fitness test at the Blues this week...and that the Crows second pick will also be involved as a trade for Walker.

Just not a good enough deal, we lose a pretty good player and there is not a good enough guarantee on either player we get in return.

The issue is that Walker is under contract and it has become known that he is happy to stay with the club if a good deal cannot be found. This is not a good deal.

I believe this to be fact. I heard early today about this meeting and then again this afternoon was told it was reported on 5AA.

I would rather keep Sellar. At 22, if played in a key post he could be a good player.

i think i remember reading somwhere that he was a gun junior & some people rated him above jack riewoldt at the time , i know parrot was a huge fan of sellar.

There's a debated line of thought which suggests Sellar dominated junior levels because he was always more physically mature than the other players at the same age, and that when they reached senior level and everyone else more or less caught up the advantage diminshed by a fair degree.

It's just a theory though.

Can anyone confirm if Adelaide's second pick has been down at VISY for a fitness test?

Apparently that was on Adelaide radio today. Talking about Walker and a 2nd rounder for him. Hope Adelaide shout us the lube too....fair dinkum.

If that's what we're getting tell Walker stiff sh1t, he's staying.

Quote where exactly I have been deluded ESPECIALLY with trade offers for Jacobs and or Walker?!

Please I challenge you, quote me on any trade proposal posted by me that is unreasonable?!

You can't because there isn't one!

The problem here is that we are being asked to accept potential in return for someone who is comfortably in our best 22. I don't know anything about Sellar and it's not Henderson situation where the kid was a top 10 pick and the first KP taken.

Sellar might be thes second coming of Carey but right now, from our point of view, we're looking at a late second rounder and a set of steak knives for Walker.

That said, I'd trust our crew to know whether Sellar is worth it and be happy to back them if they do.

This will do for now. Too easy.

Alwyn Davey :o

Sellar is not a border line spud. He will develop into a pretty good FB.

I have no doubt that given a chance, Sellar will develop into a very good FB.

This deal would come from Carlton Board's school of trading where you get something good or decent for a heap of unwanted shit!

McKernan is NOT a key forward. Sure he can play there and probably do a great job because of his quick lead, leap and great mark. The club sees McKernan as a genuine tall utility and by that I mean someone who will be played as a ruckman, key forward and key defender. He has played in every one of those positions in the SANFL and he will be used in all of those positions at the AFL.

Am I the only one here that thinks we should be going after Alwyn Davey?!

He is yet to re-sign with the Bombers and is exactly the sort of player we need in the forward line.

I would rather go after Davey than any other players we are currently linked to!

I tend to agree that his upside is greater than Jacobs'!

If I had a choice, I would go for Clarke based purely on long term potential. Jacobs' has a limited potential while Clarke could really be a gun, 200 game player. I would certainly be VERY interested in this kid.

Instead of point scoring and giving parrot oxygen, why don't you just feck off and go back to the feral hole you crawled out of?

Weaver criticised the selection of Riewoldt in a thread on your board.

You're one of the biggest knuckle draggers on BF.

At least parrot can get you guys to bite with decent bait.

OH really!!!

Again where is this proposed trade that is unrealistic?!

I don't see it. All of those quotes are purely an opinion on a player or players, yet you are still unable to come up with the actual trade proposal that I have put forward that is unreasonable?!

As I suspected, you claimed something to be true, only to be called out and being unable to back up the claim with anything. Typicall!!

yeah i have plenty of time for parrot & actually enjoy his posts ! atleast he adds something unlike certain people who just post crap & known knuckle draggers as you call them !

Whatever troll, no one here is interested in a pissing contest with some fool who thinks his team has 45 untouchables on the list and top picks in a super draft. In case you haven't noticed you slid nearly as bad as Brisbane this year and THEN lost five of your greatest ever players and your ruckman. You and in deep shit and without leadership and mature bodied players. If you don't see that you've been called out here then you're either completely deluded or just know nothing about football, either way you're an idiot.

As I thought!

Called out as a bullshit artist and then goes ahead with the abuse! A troll I am not and I am happy for you to go though my entire posting history on this site and pick out a trolling post because again, you will not find anything.

I prefer reasonable and honset football discussion, something you are clearly not capable of. When you are interested in realistic and reasonable football discussion I am happy to have a chat about it, but if all you can come up with is this sort of dribble then we have nothing to dicsuss.

Oh, and I would look into the mirror before calling someone else an idiot! ;)
