When will we see you return to the Deus Ex thread and explain yourself H? Have you recovered yet?
I honestly have no idea what there is to respond to...
As I said, 900k on consoles after 3 weeks. KZ3 1280k after 7. We'll see.

Regardless, KZ3 is a steaming pile of dogterd. Much like KZ2.
Or...KZ3 950k on 1 console after 3 weeks too.

For "Will certainly debut better than #8 for the month (KZ3 lol)" it didn't actually do that either...great predictions from LLD ITT.:o

The fact that you have no idea but still insist on talking out of your arse.

Tell us where it finished then H?

It's sitting at positions 2 and 5 on the weekly charts w/e 2nd April. Add them up and it's close to beating Pokemon for the week.

It's not selling as well as KZ3 (not to mention that's counting 2 platforms vs 1), how is it going to end up better than it? Talk about talking out your arse...

If I didn't know your style I'd think you were doing this on purpose.

Crysis 2 is position 2 and 5 in the weekly chart. KZ3 nowhere to be seen. Result = Crysis 2 is currently selling better than KZ3. Right? Following?

Wow comprehension fail LLD? Overall based on the same number of weeks Crysis 2 has had on the market as KZ3 had, KZ3 is outselling it and doing so on the one console not a far more spread market either.

And within 2 weeks there will be another 3 titles out that will blow Crysis 2 out of the water and send the sales plummeting (and first month sales are where you're expecting 100k+ numbers across the board, of which KZ3 has already done and is now just basically left to the legs to keep it going).

We can check back in 3 weeks if you wish?

Show me you numbers then if this is true. How many copies had KZ3 sold after 3 weeks?

Speculation.

I'm sure you'll bump it, whatever the result.

I already said, 950k. Go to VGchartz.
Speculation.
Speculation is only speculation if you don't have any numbers to back it up.

However going on American only pre-orders so far...

MK will do about 400k
Portal 2 will do about 200k
SOCOM 4 will do about 150k

This is from pre-orders alone, not even counting just anyone who will pick it up, that see's over 750k sales to 3 titles in the first week in America only. Crysis 2 won't get a look in, fact (that's when it's already seeing significant drops already).

Finally got connected to multiplayer (needed a new modem/router, my setup of a crappy old modem bridging to a wireless router wasn't cutting it :D)

Must say i have enjoyed it so far despite the negative comments i keep hearing about it. Dominated a game last night and was met with messages along the lines of hacker and cheater  kids these days blaming someone else for their shitness.

Haven't really noticed lag or hit detection any worse than what i had in Black Ops. Maps are fun, except for statue and yet everyone votes for it

So giving this thread the bumparoo since it's just become free for PS+ members this month.

About 2 hours in already...it's fairly bad. Slow, dull and the story is absolutely terrible and uninteresting.

You spend far too much time running around doing nothing, guessing it's an attempt at pacing, but doing nothing in places that aren't interesting to look at or be in isn't contributing to fun.

The game does look great, I'll give it that. Although I don't like the motion of the movement, it just feels off, there's a lot of momentum in the movement as well that doesn't feel right either. But it does have some very spectacular looking moments and there's some good grabs of lighting at times to react to as well.

I like the idea behind the 'tactical level layout' and how you have several tactical options at your disposal. But all that is let down by the lackluster gameplay, gameplay options, poor gunplay and TERRIBLE AI.

The tactical options idea would work a lot better more specifically if the AI was easier to get a read on, half the time you can be stealthing around and still get caught because the game just said so. Then the AI can see you anywhere if they do spot you, despite the fact that you can still cloak, but they know where you are, which contradicts the other moments in the game when they haven't seen you and they're blind to you. It's just too much of a crapshoot as to how the enemies will react and act if you are or aren't even spotted. Most of the time it's just best to avoid them, but then you kind of feel like you're not getting much out of the game after all, it is a shooter.

It's not one of those stealth type games like Deus Ex where your heart can race as you stealth past just hoping they don't spot you or something. This is just bland in that respect. But getting caught and shooting your way out just feels bad.

The gunplay is average at best, there's decent enough feedback, but at the same time it feels like your bullets aren't doing anything. It's also pretty damn hard to spot the enemies in amongst everything in the level, I get a feeling that's why you have the tag option, so you can have that spotting device there. But not being able to spot them all that well is definitely a contributing factor to the poor gunplay.

I'll finish the game, but I don't think it's going to impress me much from here and the story certainly isn't going to draw me in.

Vomit. Wish I hadn't wasted my time with this game.

Good bump, coincidentally have been playing it on PC. DX11 + High Res Pack =. Gameplay wise the first hour is pretty weak, picks up some pace after that. Once you upgrade the suit a bit more it becomes a lot more fun.

ROFL did we ever get the sales figures for Crysis 2 vs KZ3?
Overall:
Killzone 3 = 2.36 million units.
Crysis 2 = 2.21 million units (PS3/360 as PC is too unpredictable in it's sales figures)

I was thinking last night what this game reminded me of in concept. And as weird as it's probably going to seem and sound, the first game that came to mind was Prototype. It's not for the New York element or anything like that. But it's more about the stealth element being in a game clearly made to be anything BUT stealthy.

Every mission see's you get that tactical options POV. And as I said, I like the idea of it, but the implementation is basically that of why would you ever want to do anything but stealth through the game as it's the easiest route towards completing your objective. It brings up the point of why would you ever engage with the enemy? Basically you're subverting the main reason of the game just to add a stealth element, and one that isn't really all that good, it just works because the AI is too dumb to see it have any real variety.

That was the biggest problem with Prototype for mine, you could basically go through a majority of the game by just swapping into another person and stealthing...when you had all of these awesome powers at your disposal. So why would you stealth? Because it's too easy. But then in stealthing you're not really playing the game as it was made and as it was meant to be made. Hell, I even skipped one 'Look at' set piece moment because I was in a tunnel underneath all the action, like, wtf?!
