Argument between me and DontArgue4 about the pair. Who's the better tagger?

I don't really rate Conca, just seems so vanilla to me. Jackson isn't as good as Hocking

Well that right there shows i am wasting my time replying, Jackson is better then Hocking and there is no argument.

How so? Hocking is as every bit as good a stopper as Jackson, and while Jackson gets more of the pill, Hocking has better skills and helps out our inside work with blocks etc than Jackson does. To think Jackson is better is no crime but to say it's no contest is just blatantly incorrect

I'd say Jackson generally plays more of a run with role rather than a shut down role. But neither are in the top echelon of taggers.

Hocking is probs the better tagger, although Jackson offers things in other areas that Hocking doesn't quite do so well.

Jackson has more strings to his bow but for the role they play I'd take Hocking every day of the week. Criminally underrated as a tagger and so valuable to Essendon.

Hocking hurts his team less and locks down players better so I'd go him. Jackson tries to do too much with the ball for his limitations.

Jackson pretty easily. I think he's a genuinely good player whereas as Hocking offers very little offensively and isn't an overly effective stopper.

Hocking severely underrated for his actual football work. He's a hard tackling clearance machine when allowed to play his own game, but as he is our best tagger when he is forced to play a tight checking game we don't get to see this as often. His most undervalued part of his game is his ability to block at stoppages for players like Watson and Heppell, both benefit immensely from having Hocking in the side.

I went with Hocking because I see him every game so I see his very best which is awesome.

Jackson I don't see as much, does not mean his best is not better than Hocking's. Just that what I have seen Hockings best is better.
