Should we just throw the kitchen sink at him? Kerr+ second round pick.

Lets be honest Kerr is not going to be around for our next shot at the flag. Even it involves our first round pick, are we going to find a better player than Rich with said pick?

I know alot of people don't rate Ebert but I certainly wouldn't want to trade him. However if it secured Rich I would be for it.

It's just about the volume of young midfielders we have, Rich is a different fish with that very boot. to see him Playing under Naitanui alongside Masten, Swift, Shuey and Stevens. :thumbsu:

If we got pick 19 we could then go after a different type of player perhaps another KPP or a quality small.

:o

While we're at it, maybe they'd give us Brown for Nicoski.:thumbsu:

I don't follow? They will have what is essentially a second round pick as a first round pick.

Ebert is rated by Voss and would be worth more than pick 19 by a good margin. Kerr and Rich, even as par only for the fact Rich is younger, Ebert compensates for that fact.

Kerr has barely fired a shot in three years EasternHills and is increasingly injury prone... And Rich far more skillful than Ebert is at this stage of their careers.

Not going to happen.

Then Kerr + Ebert for Rich and second round pick.

If you're going to make a Kerr/Pick trade, may as well make it the first rounder with the GC taking up a majority of the top ten.

I was a fan of Rich @ pick 2 (Not that I was unhappy at all with Naita) and still think he would be worth getting. He's only had the one real stud game this year though.

The forward line would love it in comparison to what they're currently getting fed.

Not so much the pick as Rich mate - I know Vossy is a big rap for Ebert (and Tommy Swift for that matter), but he thinks the sun shines out of Rich's arse.;)

Not going to happen IMO.

Good point, perhaps it would be a better strategy to trade kerr to GC then use that pick.

Voss' trading suggests he's looking for a premiership while Black, Power and Brown are still a force. So a trade involving Kerr to Brisbane would definitely be a possibility if a mutually advantageous deal can be arranged.

Problem is, I doubt they'll trade Rich for anyone. They'll be very keen on Kerr though, but won't have anything else we'll want.

Kerr for Banfield and picks is a no go, because they won't have the necessary picks to make it happen.
Not that I'm fussed if Banfield comes home or not.

If we finish 12th we get pick 12. I would do that + Kerr for Rich.

I doubt Kerr would demand much value from GC. Kerr has a thing for older fellas ;)

Well i didn't start the thread. :p

Rich is a life long Westcoast fan. He doesn't have any bad feelings towards us after we picked Naits, who is a good mate of his. Played alongside Swift in 06/08 and Masten in 07.

When does Free agency come into effect again?

I would also do Kerr for Banners straight up :p Obsessed with the ranga*

If Voss is looking for a flag, he won't be trading Rich for anything, let alone Kerr. Kerr's value has dropped. He's been very poor for the past two seasons and now has a serious leg injury. He can't beat a tag either. Very questionable as to whether he can get anywhere near his best again.

The Ebert trade is interesting too. Surely he would want to return to SA if West Coast think he is expendable? Can't see him being keen to head to Brisbane and if he's going to QLD he'd probably be better off at GC getting more money.

Voss realises the premiership window is only open for a few more years hence why I suggest he would have a look at Kerr.

No way would Kerr ever want to go to the GC. All he needs is to be put in charge of another bunch of kids.

He may think differently if Ablett goes there. Who wouldn't want to play along side him.

There's no difference in playing for GC or WCE, both sides are full of young players. Kerr will have to deal with it at either club. Does Kerr stick with familiarity at WC, or go for the money and lifestyle of the Gold Diggers?

Would Kerr attract the numero uno tagger I guess they would be asking (Not that they're even thinking of the trade).

I think only the fans think Brad is expendable.

Yep, that's about the size of it.

Ha, yeah I know this wasn't your idea, just enjoying a lively discourse:thumbsu:

Who you barracked for doesn't count for much these days. Rich strikes me as a loyal kid, and it looks as though he'd enjoying himself up there.

Rich has been getting tagged, so there would have to be a reasonable chance of Kerr being tagged if he replaced Rich. Does it really make much difference anyway? If he's not tagged and starts playing well, you simply throw a tag on him and you solve the problem.

Rich>>Kerr at this stage in their careers. Sad but true, but Kerry has been very very poor since 2008...
