Then they should be signing mediocre 32 year olds like Douglas for a moderate payday and 1-2 years. Not mediocre 27 year olds for 5 years.

I'm not saying you're wrong but who are these players they should sign? Not many willing to come to North/Saints let alone GC.

Just showing the similar trade GWS has completed. Both look fair and even at best.
Glad we did it to get to the pointy end, but you could make arguments either way that it could have been very different result - the risk/reward of future trading.
