you are kidding arent you? this sheed crap going on over last 5 months is pissing me off. he is closer to being one of those vanilla midfielders like stevens than someone you think he is, whoever that might be. so far, with all the descriptions that people have put up, at best he is a priddis. slow, cant kick, good with hands. now priddis is good player but lets not forget, never an all australian. not even close.

i hate this from wc fans EVERY year. we get attached to someone west australian and build him up. then we get pissed off that he doesnt get drafted. and then we get proven wrong where that player either a) does not getting drafted by anyone or b) turns out shit. this happens EVERY year. if sheed was not west australian, noone would give two hoots. same player, different state and yet they are seen as somehow seen as different quality players.

Coniglio probably the best talent but Acres has the most potential.

My preference would be Acres, but on face value pick 6 is probably unders for Coniglio.

But if they did deal pick 1, you'd assume Coniglio wouldn't also be part.

I agree some are being too myopic in respect to drafting Sheed but you are severely underrating him here. As best he is Simon Black - not Priddis. Over on the D&T boards plenty of non-West Australians have very good things to say about him. While there are questions about his pace I would say the majority don't see it as a big issue. I don't disagree that this board has a tendency to overrate certain players but it's not happening in this case; or if it is not by much.

I agree some are being too myopic in respect to drafting Sheed but you are severely underrating him here. As best he is Simon Black - not Priddis. Over on the D&T boards plenty of non-West Australians have very good things to say about him. While there are questions about his pace I would say the majority don't see it as a big issue. I don't disagree that this board has a tendency to overrate certain players but it's not happening in this case; or if it is not by much.

The experts and scouts rate him highly as well.

Sorry for the intrusion guys. But at best, Sheed could become the next Simon Black. It's not like he has absolutely no pace at all. And what he lacks in pace he more than makes up for it with his class and ability to find space.

Please go read the article or any of the posts relating to the context. It's no where near as bad it sounds. Was just about the revolving door of players and the younger ones not knowing it as well as our stable teams of 2011/12.

simon black? woah well why isnt he rated closer to pick no.1 then? every drafee around this time of year is compared to some sort of champion of the game. All top 30 picks are "highly rated". Otherwise they wouldnt be classed as top 30 18-year olds in the country, now would they? not like recruiters go "yeh we rate this other player highly, but we will draft this other one who we dont rate highly, just because we can". if he is simon black then i am all for drafting him. but lets not kid ourselves.

I know D&T board is speculative a little in itself, but since we are talking about the board, I I have seen D&T board. Been following it for at least 5 years (prior to actually having my own account). Two of the most knowledgable at the moment Knightmare and Chris 25 rate him about 16/17. They have form over last 5 years and there will be others to come. Now to me that doesnt scream out Simon Black. What the hell are the 15 prior to that? All must be Gary Abletts or something. In any case, Id have one of these. But if we draft Sheed and he actually becomes like Black, then I'll of course be very happy. why wouldnt I?
