Did Sydney cheat?

Right, but he still did all those other things you mentioned in your previous post.
That was the point I was making. All those comments have been overlooked as the media focuses on the drama rather than the performance.

I saw the whole presser. Leppa is no media newbie - he knew he was providing sound bites for the news headline.
It looked like he wanted to say so much more aswell. I for one havent been a fan of his pressers. I.E. the martin may incident. But i thought there was more he wanted to say. He did admit he could be wrong.

Yes for injuries Sinclair clearly wasn't injured.
Certainly looked like something was wrong. Can't blame the runner for being concerned when a player is clutching at his knee.

I still find it strange that Weitering was both potentially concussed and with an AC joint/popped shoulder yesterday, yet Carlton didn't call for a stretcher and ask the Ump to stop the game, nor did the Ump stop the game in seeing the injury to Weitering. Yet the decision was made to call for a stretcher for Sinclair who jogged off the field (and was allowed to jog off the field by medicos even though they had called for a stretcher) less than a minute after the game was stopped.

To me it seems like Player Welfare depends on where the game is up to, rather than actually about the true welfare of the player.

Luckily he isn't injured but I would rather be safe than sorry and that goes for every player in the Afl

So we are going to call the stretcher every time a player gets injured or looks to be injured.Please.
A guy goes down clutching his knee, commentators suggest it looks like he's done an ACL. You're marginally in front and down a man - I'd think 18 clubs in the competition would be keen to get him off ASAP so that they're not a man down.

Sydney. If the afl won't bend the rules to help them succeed then they'l bloody well do it themselves!
I love how they bent the rules to help us not trade for two years. That was cool!

Brisbane were about to get pinged for holding the ball and got a ball up instead so wouldn't say it was cheating in the slightest.

That would've been impressive given no Brisbane player had possession of the ball when they stopped play.

We should've called for a head count on Brissy instead....our next little secret squirrel tactic when a game gets tropical.

Don't forget to get Sinclair to swap jumpers up the other end of the field first.

Actually that'd probably work. :(

Have Sydney blamed Eddie yet?

Nah, Eddie's been distracted by the shininess across the road in Sydney so the Swans haven't needed to distract him.

So, Brisbane didn't even have the ball. The way this thread is going, you'd think they were 10m out, directly in front, with noone in front of them.

Probably because it was within 5 meters of the ball and therefore you're the only one wanting to make a big deal out of it and deflect the real issue issue of the umpires again making an incorrect decision to favour Sydney.

Teflon Swans.

Watch the replay no shepherd dropping a shoulder into someones back is fair play. Time to move on from the 9 second 19th man on the field.

Well.....

To be fair, a look at video of the game shows Christiansen having a crack at the umpire for stopping the game at the time. Listening on radio, the commentary team had NFI what was happening, I'd imagine same on the tele.

And having watched the presser, Leppa hardly ranted and raved - it was certainly evident he was pissed off, but he controlled his emotions very well.

I don't think it's unreasonable for the AFL to confirm the sequence of events though.

Has it been confirmed that Sinclair was suffering from cramp only and not an injury?

If so it looks pretty suspect.
He was running into an open goal about to kick the sealer when he hit the deck. Highly unlikely he was faking it.
