the issue is how I see it

the Power treat and prepare for these clashes as a GF, we prepare like any other minor round game

this is why they have knocked us off so many times as the under-dog

I agree with you, Sloane Ranger. It really bugs me that the Crows don't seem to take these games seriously enough. The supporters want to win a Showdown more than any other game during the year. But the players just don't seem to care quite that much.

The day the players care as much as the supporters is the day they'll win.

One of the worst losses in Club history. All the momentum and positive thoughts we had built up have been lossed by a spineless performance.

our disposal, tackling, goal kicking and desperation were all below par.

We just lost to a team that have lost 9 in a row. Appalling.

S Thompson is excused as he was very good but the rest............

Yeh Armstrong eh?

Dont think he is up to it yet!

Made some poor decisions and skill errors.

Bock??? Doesnt look fit enough!

Is this life after Goodie and Macca?

A good, telling statement I think - and it'll never happen of course. Why would it?

Players are happy making their dough, living up the good life. Bit of training through the week, few hours every Sunday, here's your 300k a year salary and plethora of bitches. Thankyou very much!

It's even worse in Europe when it comes to the round ball code. Some of them make twice as much in a week!

Of course, in every code there'll be an exceptions, but the reality is that the players will never care as much as they maybe should - or that supporters expect them to.

Especially without the fear of being held accountable and it’s very rare that a player under Neil Craig gets dropped.

How many times did our players shit themselves when going up for a marking contest or when a Port player (usually Brogan) was running at them?

Henderson's pathetic squib at the arse end of the third quarter was just terrible, and cost us any momentum that had been built.

And he was only running at Paul Stewart!

It looked dreadful - and it was.

If Port's tackle count was high so it obviously means that we were first to the ball and their brilliant caused us turn to it over to them when they ran in packs. Our disposal under pressure was pathetic. Port's pressure today was high than Geelong's last week.

Not a troll... wish I could say "bad luck guys", but can't because naturally I want our guys to win.

I just think that it came undone for you guys via the goal kicking (in particular Walker). We're a pretty mentally soft team and if those early set shots on goal were converted I think you guys would have ran all over us. I mean 3-4 of those early ones were only from 20m-30m out at gettable angles.

Aside from that our midfielders and defender definitely seemed to "want it more".

Until next year... cheers.

the week of showdowns I have heard the club say onnumerous occassions "prepare like any other game but play like its a final", this has always bugged me, you should prepare like its bigger than any other game and maybe we will get more positive results

Chocholates to Boiled Lollies in a week.
Put Armstrong on the Jacky bus quick.

Don't blame this **** weak effort on the kids.
Senior players like Van Berlo, Stevens, Bock, Porplyzia and Symes are to blame.:thumbsu: Armstrong will be a good player for us today was a good lesson in his development.

Symes, Douglas and Jaensch were all guilty of similar squibs.

You had absolutely everything to play for today. This was just as much your Grand Final than it was anyone elses.
