There was a post on a private North facebook page that mentioned that Souva was going to be rested this week and Campbell will play. Not sure how reliable it is though.
They probably got it from me saying he might need a break as his heart palpitations have flared

the fact that Larkey was one of the last if not the last player to leave the function last night would say to me that he is being rested this week....

Back to back travel theory 2019.

-Collingwood travelled to Perth and beat West Coast in a close one before backing it up with a big loss to GWS in Sydney. On return to Melbourne the Tigers gave them a touch up.

-Essendon travelled to Adelaide and beat the Crows in a close one before backing it up with a close win against Gold Coast in Queensland. On return to Melbourne the Power gave them a touch up.

-North travelled to Brisbane and lost to the Lions in a close one before backing it up with a big loss to West Coast in Perth. On return to Melbourne we touched up the Hawks.

-Geelong travelled to Sydney and beat the Swans in a close one before backing it up with a big loss to Fremantle in Perth. On return to Victoria they play us and we are the only team after the bye to win after back to back trips.

Make of this stat what you will.

Other Victorian teams who encountered back to back travel

#The Tigers travelled to GWS in round 3 and got belted before going to Adelaide in round 4 and winning in a close one. They beat Sydney on their return to Melbourne

#Melbourne travelled to the Gold Coast and beat the Suns in a close one before backing it up with a loss to West Coast in Perth. On return to Melbourne they to lost GWS.

Would make sense because he does look a bit spent

But 2 ruckman doesn’t work unless we are using Campbell as a chop out for Goldy and rotating both forward and ruck

Could really throw Geelong off

PLAN B

Wet weather night football conditions.

Out: LDU, Larkey, Durdin
In: Jed, Atley, Campbell

Tazz & Thommo can cover in defence, Jed gives us more grunt around the ball, Atley gives us more run, and Campbell gives us a bigger body in the ruck and up forward.

It is going to be a freezing wet night of footy on Saturday. Showers and low temperature of bloody 5.

This is the last thing Geelong wants.

LDU, Durdin and Larkey out.
Jed, Atley and Hosey in.

Play the conditions North. There is no need for two extra talls at either end.

It's my wife's last footy game of the year on Saturday.

Which means she'll be spending Saturday evening at a pub with her team.

Which means I'll have control of the tv.

These are the sort of special moments that single people cannot appreciate.

Geelong coming in off back to back games in the wet. Cats have had to cop Longmire and Ross Lyons mobs in consecutive weeks.

The last team they would want to face is us if they want to hit form.

I’m getting more and more bullish about this game. Yes it’s at KP and we’ve been burnt so many times before but you just never know.

Also Port has to play the Swans in similar conditions this week, so no fear on them being primed for the week after.

I wonder if I’m being too optimistic but we have nothing to lose.

Get them in: Midfield bull Jed Anderson could be in line for an instant recall after winning 25 disposals and adding 12 tackles in the VFL on Saturday.

Under the pump: There aren't really any Roos in this category, with Jamie Macmillan producing his best performance last week since returning to the senior side.

Medical room: Luke Davies-Uniacke will undergo a right shoulder reconstruction this week and his season is over. The second-year midfielder suffered an injury earlier in the season while fending off an opponent. Shaun Atley (knee) will try again to prove his fitness after hurting himself a fortnight ago. Declan Watson (medial cruciate ligament) will sit out at least this weekend, because of a setback in his left knee – the same one he had reconstructed in mid-2017. Sam Wright's farewell VFL game ended prematurely on Saturday when he sustained a hamstring injury, but he wasn't going to play again this year anyway.

Toyota WorkHorse Verdict: It looks like Anderson for Davies-Uniacke, although Atley being healthy might complicate matters. – Marc McGowan

LOL even they think Jmac normally spuds it up.

Hawkins will kick two out the back goals and a couple from arsey free kicks cause cattery.

Ablett will get usual 3 and 25+disposals

Duncan will rack up 30+

Kelly will rack up 25+

Dangerfield will flop his way to 30+

Noise of affirmation to screw our year completely.

Cunners will get 1, 30+ disposals and a 2 week ban.

Higgo will rack up 30+

Jed will get 20 and rack up 15 tackles, and 39 pressure acts

THE Zurhaar will pick up 17 touches to go with his 4 goals, and 9 tackles.

BBB will will slot 5 tighten up the Coleman race.

AND we'll have to put up cringeworthy Roaming Whatshisface for a second week in a row.
