Keen as ****.

Only really got into the first game a few months ago and have been a bit hooked on it since I finished Mafia 3 so I'm pretty fresh going into this.

The amount of stuff you can do in these games is amazing.

It's out on Friday. :)

(If there is already a topic for this, plz merge, I couldn't find one though. :P)

I'll be picking this up at lunch to hopefully get stuck into tonight. Loved the first so hopefully it doesn't get caught in the ever growing backlog that I've got

No thread yet?

Picked this up the other day as i loved the original game.
This sequel is more of the same but even better.

I'm up to chapter 3 now, doing a high chaos run first up. (playing as Emily)

Then eventually i'll do a run through with Corvo - low chaos only non lethal
Then ultimately a ghost (never be spotted) no powers run through.

Anyone else playing?

I paid $189 for the CE and I don't regret it.

Game of the year.
What mkes the game so great?

I am tempted to buy it

I'd say for me it's

The amount of care put into the game world, it's a joy to explore every nook an cranny.
Great atmosphere to go along with the strange and magical setting.
Also the game encourages the player to replay, so you'll get you're money's worth.
There is pretty much always multiple ways to deal with any given situation.

EDIT - I'd recommend you play the previous game first though.
There is a lot of backstory and lore from that game you should get to know.
Plus it's an excellent game in it's own right.
There is a definitive edition on current gen platforms that is cheap.

So i'm up to mission 8 now on my first playthrough.
High chaos with Emily, I've been basically killing anything who gets in my way.
Apart from Civilians, i normally just sleep dart them if they try to alert guards.

Will have a little break after i finish it
Then i'll be starting a low chaos/no kill/ghost entire game using Corvo.
That will be tough but i feel like challenging myself.

Everything.

Story
Characters
Setting
Gameplay
Replayability

It'd be my favourite game of the year so far, love these games.

I finished it on high chaos with Emily.

End game spoilers

How much weight does the final decision have on the ending? I choose to save Corvo but i have been doing bad shit for the rest of the game
I still got the high chaos achivement but the ending wasn't as sad as i was expecting.

Low chaos ghost run next.

The thing that got me was that I would spent hours exploring different avenues to complete a level and get through different stages only to hear of completely different methods people found on their playthroughs.

The levels aren't particularly big but they're all packed with different paths and secrets that open up other areas that really blew me away.

I finished High chaos with Emily and am halfway through my ghost run with Corvo atm. It's the little differences between them that really stand out and draw you into the game

Amazing game, and completely backed-up from Dishonoured 1 which was also an amazing game.

Some of the levels were genius - the time-warp one, the level with the dust storm, Jindosh's Mansion... Pure genius.

I love setting, the style, the aesthetics, the powers. Everything about it is brilliant.

Both 1 & 2 are in my top games of all time.

Yeah just finished the time-warp level last night, that one and the clockwork mansion really stand out to me as amazing level design and examples of 'next-gen' concepts that probably couldn't have been done on previous console hardware.
