Breaks ahead of the Dogs game is even more insane given we‘re travelling while they camp out at Marvel for the whole 9 days ahead.
Are we just sitting back and accepting that? It’s utter bullshit.
And noticed later Collingwood get a 10 day break us 6 coming back from Perth.
In the final 8 rounds we get an extra day on West Coast and North.
That part of the fixture was finalized not that long ago either. Its not like they didn't know which games held a bit of weight.
Just plain to see biased crap from the VFL yet again.

We can’t changed that given we are last to play in the round. It is wasting energy on nothing.

Very strange way of putting things. Makes more sense if we were to lose tomorrow arvo.
Just highlighting how close the top 9 are and one team will miss out - in a thread titled "will we make the finals".
People shouldn't be looking at the ladder, seeing us third and concluding "of course we'll make the finals".
Yes we are third but we're only in the eight on percentage, bloody weird year.

Ok, given we have got **** all injuries, it would be a screwup of monumental proportions for us to miss. So far this year, we have not lost to a side 10-18. Only the Port Showdown game was close (not unexpected given cross town opponent).
In saying that, with numbnuts as coach I suppose anything is possible.
I still think GWS will be the team to miss but Freo have a tough run home. This week is huge.

Not sure if anyone else has posted this. Saw this table on AFL's access today. I think this is why I am not confidant we will do well in finals even though it looks like we will make possibly top 4.

Allow me a brief hypothetical.
If we beat the Dogs, GWS beat Geelong and GC beat Collingwood (both home games for GWS and GC), next week the top 8 ladder would look like this.
Brisbane 5-3
Geelong 5-3
GC 4-3
GWS 4-3
Collingwood 4-4
Hawks 3-4
Adelaide 3-4
Bulldogs 1-6
You look at that and would you rule Collingwood out of the flag because they are 4-4 against other top 8 teams?
We then play GC the following weekend and we could also be 4-4, but I'm not thinking about that. I'm just taking it 1 hypothetical week at a time.
For all the talk of easy second half, our remaining games look quite difficult. Only 2 games that should be guaranteed wins with West Coast and North.

Collingwood at home looks like a straight up loss for us, especially when you consider how tired we looked in the 4th against Geelong coming back from Perth last time.
Collingwood get 3 extra days and we somehow have the 4:40 Sunday slot in Perth.

Although in saying that, WBD have struggled against top teams just like we have, they have also struggled against teams strong in the contest and we have been one of the better tackling sides
Collingwood could rest a few players as by then top spot will be sealed
If we can win 1 of those 2 then it is 2nd spot and a home QF which is huge
