Adam Goodes was today honoured by the University of New South Wales for his commitment to the community with an honorary doctorate.

He gave the graduation speech as well and from reports, he was said to have delivered the Goodes, with the timeless message of the privilege of education and the need to help others.

Not just main board. The snipers on our board were out earlier in the season. Watching him in last years prelim showed how good Goodes can be late in the season. Goodes to run down Harvey tomorrow/today and go on to play 450 games. And I don't give a flying f^&k how many young hopefuls have to wait another year in the NEAFL. Watching Goodes is watching football history being made.

I wouldnt mind seeing a thread on the booing of Goodes on this board. It is turning into a pattern that isnt cool. I think initially people did it because it was a jest thing, now I think its starting to develop racial overtones. Particularly given Ziebel asked the crowd to stop and players are getting involved and supporters are still doing it.
