Gil will make him look like the rambling fool he isGil is on 360 tonight.
Apparently Robbo is going to get stuck into him over the draft assistance.
Upgrade picks. We have a nucleus of special talent atm. We just need to grow that a little more. Recruiting role players is the easy part.Couldn't give a damn about the media narrative.
We've got 3x early second rounders to play with. If we keep them they'll realistically turn into a good player, a serviceable player and a miss.
I do subscribe to the theory that it would be best to trade the two future picks however as a AFL will take them away if we significantly improve (which is actually a possibility praise be!).
Therefore, do we use them for players or to upgrade picks?

Is that 10k since the announcementWe wont see real outrage until Big Ben McKay nabs us pick 3.
North draft assistance on the MB clocked 10k last night.
Wait for it.
Dylan Stephens is out of contract and Zac Fisher is a salary dump, would be very disappointed of we're giving up first round picks for either of those 2 players.I think depending on what else is available, I don't think downgrades are too unlikely.
Carlton will be aiming for top four next year as an example, so in theory we'd move down from 19 to 32ish next year, but would at least not have to fear the AFL taking that pick off us should we improve onfield.
It's not the most exciting option, but I can see it happening if there's nothing better available.
No current season stats available
Our pick 14 will need to be used to entice either of these 2 trades..What I’d be doing with those picks
Trade 23 p19,p39 and 24 p19 to GC for pick 4
Trade 24 p20 to gws for p6 and Haynes (Salary dump )
Leaves us with picks 2,4,6,14 and McKay compo incoming - take all picks to draft and use first 4 picks then when pick 14 listen to offers , might get a f1 and change offered for it.
We have to use these picks to start the never ending GWs/GC pick cycle.
Didn't they use pick 7 last year to draft the "Selwood Clone"? Jye ClarkeIs it true, Geelong's only draft pick this year is the #7 they manipulated out of Gold Coast last year ? no wonder he's so salty about our current hand, read 'em and weep sucker.
You never start with your best offerOur pick 14 will need to be used to entice either of these 2 trades..
Trade 202314, p19 and p39 to GC for pick 4 and Maboir Chol...so they get their points easily..
Trade 202419 and p20 for GWS pick6 and Haynes (Salary dump)
we need to give the best bids we can to beat the other clubs from getting these picks 4 and 6 ...
will leave us with 2,3 McKays Compensation, 4,6, Haynes and Chol
l didnt .we still have our 2024 future 1st pick left....and our F2nd....The ones above are those given to us by the AFL...You never start with your best offer
Is it true, Geelong's only draft pick this year is the #7 they manipulated out of Gold Coast last year ? no wonder he's so salty about our current hand, read 'em and weep sucker.
Filled it in for ya!!Found this list. It would be interesting to see where these sides finished to qualify for this assistance. Quite a few Norm Smith Medalist, Brownlow Medalist, Coleman Medalist and Premiership Players on the list.
Just having a side giggle remembering Carlton “earned” picks 1 and 2 after the 2002 season and lost them both for cheating.Filled it in for ya!!

Forgot about them...shall do.great work, but need to add GC?
I do like your "and then the rule changed" - the same line of thought can apply to F/S and NGAs - eg Geelong got so much out of father sons (eg Ablett, Hawkins, Scarlett) they changed the rule to bring in bidding/discounts, and more recently, Bulldogs getting JUH prompted the change to priority access now only begins at 40Forgot about them...shall do.
Gil is on 360 tonight.

Its the bleeding obvious, we are going to be seriously good soon enough. As much as people on big footy bag some of our younger blokes (phillips and stephens) but these under 25’s are making opposition nuffies nervous. We have the greatest coach of the modern era with his right hand man, he took a pay cut to relieve the soft cap, he is refreshed and rejuvenated. Even Tarryn (keeps his nose clean) will be a ****ing jet. Their fear is real, it gives me a semi-----------
People are sooking over us more than talking about the Brownlow, or Grand Final (and one that includes Collingwood none the less)
Let that sink in.
Rent. Free.
Imagine when we are actually good again
