He was delisted because he didn't want to put in the hard yards and wanted to return home instead. Can't see him even wanting to come here (with our notoriously strenuous preseason), let alone us wanting to take him on.

Disappeared after our finals loss to Fremantle. Didn't attend club functions etc. after the season had finished. Wouldn't answer his phone.

Richmond delisted him for the same sorts of things. How many chances do you get these days?

Garry Moss is an interesting one. Snagged a RS nom in R5 2009 with 24 disposals, 9 marks and 4 goals and now finds himself delisted.

He was delisted because he didn't want to put in the hard yards and wanted to return home instead. Can't see him even wanting to come here (with our notoriously strenuous preseason), let alone us wanting to take him on.

Was only going on what I saw this year. Has has previous trouble....don't touch with a barge pole.

Calling him a dud is very harsh. He may not be the most talented bloke, but he was incredibly goal-smart. Knew exactly where he needed to be to find the pill, and a player that I thought was very handy.

Hawthorn are a basket case at the moment, they seem to lack any sort of leadership or list management skills at all. How they won a premiership is beyond me.

They complained all year that they didnt have a ruckmen, wade skipper seemed to step up and looked the goods, they then trade for a ruckmen who is injury prone and they delist the only two good ruckmen they have.

Do you practice being ill-informed or does it just come natural to you?

Peterson had maturity problems at Richmond, so they delisted him. We took a punt on him hoping that the delisting would make him realise what he had and he'd not want to lose that again. The punt failed, he's gone walkabout's. We, as a club did the right thing.

Wayde Skipper was injured too for the first half of the season, thus us "complaining". When he did come back he was great. But, you see, a few clubs have noticed his value and have offered him a spot on their senior list, at much better pay. I thank him for his time at the club and wish him all the best.

Taylor one of our best ruckman? Please. He's behind Bailey, Renouf and Hale, and with another pre-season Lowden may have over-taken him too.

You have no idea about the club so keep your tongue in your mouth.

Rookie-listed players:
Michael Johnston, NSW Scholarship (delisted)
Jarrod Kayler-Thomson (delisted)
Garry Moss (delisted)
Carl Peterson (delisted)
Wayde Skipper (delisted)
Cameron Stokes (delisted)

6 of those were rookies, 1 of which played. I'm sure we'll be right.

Tuck is put on a "special" list, with an option to re-draft him in 2011. Croad retired and Brown went to the GC, essentially we delisted 4 main roster players.

im not complaining about carl peterson going. sounds like the right call, provided he had a good leadership structure above him and failed to take any notice. Ok If Im wrong about the ruckmen then so be it, but their were plenty of complaints from the hawks about a lack of ruckmen. just seemed odd and a little rash to make all those changes in a compromised draft and get rid of half decent ruckmen.

If Luke Hodge can't pull him in line, then I'm of the opinion that he can walk away, if you aren't commited to the club, see-ya later. The recruitment of Hale was always Taylor's last nail in the coffin. We would have kept Skipper, no doubt in my mind. But I can't blame him for moving to greener pastures.

Croad was on the veterans list, will be replaced by Bateman (who will in turn need replacing on the senior list).

That leaves them with 7 senior & 5 rookie list positions..

They traded for 2 players, so that brings them down to 5 senior list position. Tuck will go on the rookie list, so that's 4 rookie list positions.

5 national draftees (possibly including 1x PSD) and 4 rookie draftees seems about right. Nothing to get too concerned about.
