Hawks losing their best poster of the last two seasons, sad

It is a little sad, but the fact was Bangers wants to run a club, and I'd already handed over to Chip. Compromising to keep both would have made neither happy which is net loss. Letting Bangers go with our thanks is good for the league, especially given the boring sinkhole he's gone to.

The larrikin award

In the middle of winter when your team is losing some sh*t game, in the rain, against the bottom placed side in the league there's nothing nice than a pint of the cold stuff and here it is, the froth on the cold one. I've said it before: expectations are now very high.

Round 1 came again, and he backed up the S30 EKA performance with more of that team-leading engagement. By the end of the season he'd again racked up the greatest volume of posts for the club, and was obviously well liked by all and sundry.

East Side Hawks 10.9.69 lost to Gumbies FFC 12.5.77 @ The Eyrie

Our winning run came to an end as we lost against the in-form Gumbies. It seemed to be a foregone conclusion when the Gumbies, based on their strong defence, went to a 6 goal lead at the end of the third quarter.

Then things changed and we staged an amazing comeback, with goals from Agent93 , PhenomenalV1 , NinjaSwan and a couple from Itsmyshow and we were within a kick! We had a shot from IMS to win it…but unfortunately it fell away and the Gumbies went the other way to win it.

Zoops and por_please_ya got 26 disposals and PMBangers 8 tackles.

East Side Hawks 11.11.77 lost to Gold City Royals 17.12.114 @ The Golden Throne

After the strong efforts of the previous weeks it would be no surprise that we had a lower week, and the Royals took advantage.

We had some strong performances by por_please_ya (25 disposals), PMBangers (8 tackles), Itsmyshow (5 goals) and 11kgm (4 goals). The season will go down to the final game.

East Side Hawks 14.7.91 defeated Roys FFC 10.8.68 @ The Eyrie

In rainy conditions, we were aiming to reach Finals. In our way was the Roys. After a slow start we came back to overpower our opponents, who were soon celebrating as they had reached finals as well. In the game, it was the Biggie show, scoring 4 and his 300th goal. We finished 7th!

por_please_ya and Zoops have 22 disposals, with SM with 5 tackles were important for the win.

East Side Hawks 12.4.76 lost to Baghdad Bombers 12.7.79 @ Abdu Prison

It was a valiant effort from our team who went 20 points down in the first quarter. In some ways it was a great team performance to bring it back to within a kick and for our star player to try a long range effort for the win. Unfortunately it want to be for another season.

Biggie had 3 goals and Golumless 19 disposals, with Chipmunk BOG. The journey has been fun, until next time when we will (hopefully) go further!
