But since you brought it up... I'm not a huge fan of the name northern but I can understand why it has been chosen as it is a merged club...

Lot of clubs tried rebranding in the past thinking it would appeal to more people but it just doesn't work Laverton changed to western magpies Sandown cobras went to southern Cobras both clubs have reverted back to their original name

I think the Club should have been called Fawkner Saints, a true combination of Fawkner Park and North Coburg Saints rather than Northern Saints.

Why not give that option to the members to vote on?

People left and people who stayed obviously want the club to prosper and never heard a bad word spoken about anything. No toxic shit at your club this year as far as I am aware apart from YOU using social media to make it look like their is.
So why dont you stop bagging your club and take your personal issues up in-house rather than sprouting your trolling bullshit behind a keyboard on social media.

You could easily have said that to begin with rather than the niggling posts bagging your merged club/s. To merge a club you need both sides of merged clubs to bond and be on same page. You have issues with certain opinions...you should take them up in-house rather than on social media to try to give them a bad name. Yes big footy is social media

Thoughts on having a top 5 instead of the 4,I'm surprised they don't to get an extra week of finals and the extra cash. I personly don't think having more than 50% of the teams in finals is a good thing.
HS must be kicking themselves they where talked up early on not sure how they would rate there year

Should be a cracker On form Tulla would have to give themselves every chance . Cburn seem to have recovered from there mid-season form slump an returning to the form we all no they are capable of .

Craigieburn and tulla will be at windy hill and looks to be a cracker of a game, the form team in tulla up against the favs
Westy and oaks at Greenvale from all reports, ago an best match up for both sides here, will be a tough contested game that could go either way

HS have a lot of great people/volunteers who are striving to make it the best it can be. Like any club there are always a few there for their own personal gratification that slow the progress but at the moment these are mostly confined to the juniors where certain people will only get involved on their terms.
HS need to find a way to generate some good $$$ to compete at the top level of B Grade which now there is nothing stopping them now they have recovered after the Kolynuk days where the club was left in huge debt(now paid off)..
They are no different to any other club, some great people and some absolute flogs,, their biggest hurdle is getting out of the mindset that they are a "new club" and realizing if they really want to compete with the big boys it takes more than "developing the juniors"

I'm sure it will all depend on if Ben chapman wants the job next year or not I highly doubt his been asked to move on after just making a finals series . I understand coaching might not be in his plans next year. Robert fletcher would be the Cragieburn assistant that your talking off more then capable of taking the step up from all reports . I cant see any of the above players mentioned in an oak park jumper next year .

They've been saying that since the days I played Amos in the early 90's. No different since the saints have been at mutton, other than them continually shifting the dates for upgrades, shifting the dates not one, not two but many years into the future.

Not post related but I think the saints club rooms need more Fawkner amo / Moomba park / Fawkner park memorabilia on display
As a 1year old I was at the club watching uncles okay for the Amos and I myself played at Moomba/Fawkner park/Northern Saints in the 90's and 2000's juniors all the way to seniors so you would know all of my family
