Thought I saw mcerlain in the twos could be wrong. Nick fletcher looked super fit and I agree that the new inclusions looked handy but discipline was a major issue with 3 goals given away from stupid 50 meter penalties. Can cloke looked ominous and will be hard to stop

Always the way with early practice games, some good players missing there. Would think it will take the eagles a few games to gel at the least. Were pretty sloppy and undiscipline from what i saw in the second half after a comfortable half time lead. Broadford really took it up to them. I no they dont mean much but any other practice match results??

Been reading some posts in the Clokes. Could it be they are bigger than the club itself? Can the coach control them?
If they are not happy with the delivery coming in, they better get used to it as its div1.
Also better watch your temper in div1 as there are some opposition players who will let go a few. Yes the Clokes are big boys but when your paying big $$ you want them on the ground..

Went and watched my old side Glenroy vs my new side Mulwala on Saturday. Good game to watch in very hot conditions. Glenroy looked very impressive against us. They have picked up some really quick midfielders which tore us apart! Young Nilsson played well with a couple of big forwards that ive never seen before looking strong. I think a few people are going to under estimate Glenroy this season. Not that anyone would care on here but Mulwala are looking ok as well. Few new kids look ok.

Jesus, it was a practice match and like most other clubs the first hit out for the year. You'd think there were 3 rounds to go and we were sitting last on the ladder.

I hope clubs are ready for the impact the Cloke brothers are going to have on this division because I reckon they'll bring a host of people to games who wouldn't normally bother.

Yeah James Barnes.. Played at Pacco and Werribee Reserves last year. Is a good size who is probably better suited to div1 as struggled a bit in premier league.
His dad's involved at Douttas as well so was probably the main reason.

That's false about John Barnes being involved the EDS. I have it on good authority he would have nothing to do with them again after the way they treated him when he coached.

Did hear that Oak Park were impressive against a strong Knox(EFL divvy 1) team yesterday. Lost by 2 goals

Eds inside midfielders were extremely impressive yesterday against gisborne along with Ronaldson and kyte.
They played 3 quarters finished 52- 44. Gisbornes way! All of the younger brigade didn't play for eds due to cricket!

Pity Kite, Ronaldson, Dylan Ramsay & Cronin wont all be playing for EDS. Even if Glenroy decide to clear Kite & Ronaldson, which i cant see happening, EDS can only have 2 players from 1 club! What 2 would you choose?

Does the 2 player policy still apply? There have been times recently where more than 2 have been cleared to a club. What is eds doing with kite & Ronaldson anyway? Clearances have been denied but no new ones submitted? Why are the playing praccy matches if they won't end up there? Seems a waste of the players time & the clubs time. They played ff & CHF yesterday, pretty important structural positions u would have thought that if they aren't there in round 1 might make a difference to the onballers who are delivering the ball to their forwards.

Clearances for ronaldson an Kyte have both reached a maximum the mail I'm getting is the league has left it up to the 2 clubs to reach an agreement . Glenroy have a asked for a ridiculous offer for the pair so it will be interesting to see how it all pans out as I no both boys won't be to keen on the idea of missing games of footy . Both have a lot of football ahead of them by making them miss footy I can't see them returning to the club In the future is it the right way to go about it long term

Has the rule changed in where you cannot play even a practice match without a clearance or permission from the club your tied to? If I'm correct they will be in trouble for playing them.
I'm sure if you have offical umpires you can get reported in practice matches even though they are mostly played in good spirit..

Cronin has been cleared but Ramsay hasnt even put in for one. The 2 player rule definitely applies to seniors. So either way EDS cant get both Kite & Ronaldson anyway!
