actually, i think that kick was a point.
The Carton player who gave away the free kick I don't recall.
Mike Fitzpatrick gave away the time wasting free.
I agree, & correct me if I'm wrong but the last goal by Neale Daniher was from a mark on the lead??That goal was not the last one kicked for the match.

Fitzpatrick definitely stood the mark after he gave the free away. But it wasn't the last shot at goal.
I might have to go to the video...
It was 1981 , it was a pleasure to be there, fitzpatrick had it taken off him, so i`d say him, the big ********.
I always remembered that as Mark Eustice taking the free kick, and kicking it forward where we scored a point from it. Hawker? or Merrett?
In answer to who stood the mark when Rowdy Daniher kicked the winner, I'd have said Bruce Doull, who was his opponent at the time.
Glenn Hawker kicked it from the wing to Daniher, who marked in a pack of players. That passage of play was 3-4 minutes after Fitzpatrick had the ball taken off him by Umpire Ian Robinson.
Well done Mero- how many other golden apples do you have in your tree of knowledge. The scene is Windy Hill Round 7 1974 Essendon V Richmond, minor fracas at half time. Who was on the ground in the middle of it, who felt like they were wearing two jumpers- a black one with a red sash, and a blue one.![]()
Thats harder than any question i;ve ever put up![]()

Like nomad, I'll go for Barry Grinter.
He was a copper, hence the reference to the Blue jumper.
The bloke you see him chasing was Stephen Parsons.
The reason he chased Parsons was because Parsons (and Graeme Richmond) KO'd our fitness adviser Jim Bradley.
