Enright is the best small defender in the AFL in the last half decade. The safest bet we have above all our players to beat his man. If we had four of him and two Scarletts we would only have midfielders kick goals against us and only from outside 50.

I think Johnson may get under valued here - Enright is up with the very best defenders of the last 20 years. He is elite and a gun. Johnson was very very good but not at Enright's level.

Both excellent and underated. Chris Johnson for me, people seem to forget how good he was

Enright, Enright, Enright.

Bloke is a certified freak. SHOULD go down in history as one of the all-time great defenders. Definitely in Geelong's top 4-5 best & most important players.

Change that to 1-3.

Took me a long time to realise exactly how good this guy is. Winning multiple best and fairest awards as a defender in premiership years merely underlines his value.

No denigration of Johnson either, he was a bloody good player for a long period of time.

another top comparison ;)

Johnson was an absolute gun, so bloody hard and tough and was a terrific contested mark.
I'm not going to vote on this one because I didn't see enough of Johnson but from what I saw of him in many highlights at Fitzroy and of course at the Lions, he was a terrific defender.

I know Boris is able to play on smalls & talls which makes him very valuable and a big reason why we have been successful in recent years. His ability to beat his opponent and then work his way through a tight squeeze like Scarlett is 1st class. He'll often be the catalyst for many of our forward thrusts toward goal with his reading of the play and terrific decision making under pressure.
Boris has got better with age and will again be pivotal to Geelong's chances in 2012.
