United beat us fairly convincingly in the end. They might not have dominated possession , or dominated the game. But they were the better team and shouldn't have to excuse how they went about winning the game. Any team would take that performance any day.

It is the same as the way West Brom set up to play but with better players. That's it. The 9 goal aberration should be taken into account as well.
23 shots on goal against is hardly something you should be setting up to face all the time because on another day that could have been 5-2 quite easily.

That is as bad as you seeing a stonewall penalty for United and thinking they’ve been lucky that the ref has given it..... because another referee wouldn’t have given the penalty. Or something like that.

That’s better. None of City’s shots on target troubled Henderson, maybe except for the one he did save which any keeper worth his salt would have done. In the end, it was as comfortable a 2-0 win as you will see.
Sterling had a header which went about 10 metres wide of the target. That was one of several like it that was added into the 23 shots
