Oh geez, Man City next. I think if we lose it would be hard to see us winning the title with the amount of injuries we have... feels like we're hanging on a bit.

It's not defeatist it's just experience. We have experienced City countless times. If they get their noses in front of us, we wont catch them. Winning this weekend is a must. Dont know if we do it though considering so many are out.

If City lose they're not out of it but if Pool lose they're donezo.
Arsenal fans wanting a draw, neutrals wanting match of the year, hopefully we get both and they have a 4-4 thriller 
If City lose they are then 4 points behind Pool, Pool have an easier run in (they have Spurs/BHA/Wolves at home and Villa away as their banana skin matches) where as City have a harder run in (Arsenal/Villa/Wolves at home and then BHA/Spurs away).
Arsenal have the worst run in, but they don't play Liverpool and are in tremendous form. So if City lose to Pool and go 4 points down, and Arsenal cause an upset which isn't totally off the cards on current form, then City would be 7 points behind with 8 games remaining.
As most predicted a while ago, this Pool/City and then the City/Arsenal match is going to determine the league.
I think the killer for City/Pool could be the fixture congestion if they continue their runs in the FA Cup and Europe.
Mods need to create some sort of automation to include the word “injuries” in every post by a Liverpool fan to save them the trouble of typing every single time.

Europa makes things more difficult with plenty of Thu/Sunday games. All about having enough of the squad available to completely rest the first XI for Europa games. We are nowhere near that point atm.

It's Europa though. You can beat most of those teams with junk players and also if you get eliminated. Who cares.

It's just reality though. When you're trying to beat Manchester City to the league title, it would really help to have all your best players fit and firing. TAA, Matip, Thiago, Szoboszlai, Salah, Alisson, Nunez, Jota, Jones, Gravenberch... like the squad can only hang on for so long.
Nunez and Szo thank god came back midweek and hopefully Salah isnt far away, the rest are still out for some time.
It sucks, I'd be way more confident if we had all out players fit and ready to go for the run in.

Thu/Sun is no different that playing in the CL and playing Wed/Sat. Still the same break.
The quality of opposition is worse too so we can afford to rotate the squad in some games. The only team left in the EL that might give us trouble is really Leverkusen.

Cant wait to see us park the bus at home to Newcastle. This one could get ugly result and atmosphere wise.
Such is the unprecedented nature of Liverpool’s injuries, the Premier League will grant special dispensation for Klopp to allow Salah and his son to be on the team bus in readiness for this coming matchday.

CL teams get plenty of Wed/Sun games.
Eg City can send a complete reserve XI at home on Wed night if Pep wants. We have to travel to Prague and don't have enough fit players to field a completely second XI.

That won't be the case if we progress to quarter/semis. Some pretty good teams in there. Europa is the only competition Jurg hasn't won so it'll be a pretty big thing for him and the club to win it. Much more important than the FA Cup.
