Still remember the hate Emac got back 5-6 years ago. How things change.
He has gotten better every year. The development has been great to watch, the consistency is fantastic he gets 5-10% better every year and I think most of us thought he was pretty good 4 or so years ago. The fans have followed accordingly but I think a few in hindsight will realize a key defender isnt built overnight. Glass wasnt admired by all his first 3 years-another Glassism for Emac! ha

Emac is our best player these days.

Ian Dargie created a thread a few years ago about our younger crop asking who will be the first to 150 games.

I said Emac and was questioned why ?

He just keeps getting better and better each year thats why.

He's been awesome for years now. Even in 2011 he was super reliable. His kicking is a lot better now though.

On a side note our kick-ins from behinds are infinitely better when Hurn, McGovern and Bennell/Ellis are all playing. The less we have Brown/Mackenzie kicking out the better.

Round 1 - Stringer = 0 goals.
Round 2 - Howe = 0 goals.
Round 3 - Riewoldt = 1 goal.
Round 4 - Hawkins = 3 goals.
Round 5 - Schulz = 2 goals.
Round 6 - Henderson = 2 goals.
Round 7 - Pavlich = 0 goals.
Round 8 - Patton = 0 goals.
Round 10 - Cloke = 1 goal.
Round 11 - Petrie = 2 goals.
Round 12 - Roughead + Gunston = 4 goals.
Round 13 - Dixon = ? goals.
Round 14 - Riewoldt = 1 goal.
Round 15 - Pavlich = 1 goal.
Round 16 - Franklin = 1 goal.
Round 17 - Merrett = 0 goals.
Round 18 - Riewoldt = 1 goal (Martin).
Round 19 - Walker = 3 goals.
Round 20 - Cloke = 0 goals.
So that puts his season tally at 22 goals + whatever was kicked against him in the GC game.

Do they actually work it out like that? Or do they just look at the total finishing tally by the player Emac played on for the majority of the game?

In which case, Cloke had a goal recently, Roughead had 8 etc etc.

He deserves it this year after missing out last year and then getting robbed of our B & F

Any person giving prestigious awards have to have more common sense than to simply look at the goal tally.
I saw before Essendon's last game they had a tally of goals against and Mackenzie had 32 goals kicked on him.
Which according to my calculations cannot be accurate.
You cannot be held responsible for goals kicked on other players.

It doesnt look like they even record this "goals kicked on" lets call it. Ive looked everywhere on google, even to find other full backs and previous years just to get a guide on it. Would like to see some of Glass's years.

Its all about pointing to your 2 screens, moving your magnets. Talking about stats is a visual thing! Minority Report clicking your fingers style will be soon. I don't mind Kingy. I need access to this war room.

So that puts his season tally at 24 goals + whatever was kicked against him in the GC game.

On the flip side Hooker had 3 goals kicked on him today.
Would rather concede 3 to Kennedy than 2 to Window-Licker. :p

Thought Hooker was pretty good today, those Kennedy goals were near unstoppable thanks to delivery.

The annoying thing is that I feel like he wouldn't have let Carlisle kick any on him.
One of Winder's goals he had to concede because of other players not defending properly.

Thought I'd add something you guys might not know. Did you know that Eric MacKenzie goes to ECU Joondalup? Don't know what he's studying but I sometimes see him there. Don't talk to him though, he always avoids eye contact with people.

Must take after his First Class bashful version.

Most people are jerks. A sound tactical decision. Mackenzie wins another battle!
