Multiplat Far Cry 3

So i'm going through this now. Really seems good so far, only complaint is probably the save system, i like to do missions as stealthy as possible, but it would have been nice if you could save after every 1 or 2 people you take out. I always manage to get noticed by a dog. :D
Wait till you think you're being all stealthy, only to be ambushed by a Tiger....

It's not the only thing in the game that reminds me of Apocalypse Now.

"It's a f#cken tiger man!"

Wait until you think you're being all stealth and you're ambushed by a blood dragon!

Nah that's from the DLC FC3: Blood Dragon which is excellent!
No, there are Komodo Dragons, and the Path of the Hunter quest is to kill a Blood Dragon IIRC.

I was trying to liberate a camp steathily and i was on the outskirts of it spotting them with the camera, switched to my bow ready to take some down then someone at the camp yells "Tiger!" and they all start scurrying and shooting towards it. It was at the same moment i hear a growling next to me, which ended up being ANOTHER tiger which left me with no choice but to defend myself with the bow considering it was inches from me. Couldn't even get one shot off before it pounced on me and eventually killing me. In any case, i got an achievement for liberating a camp without alerting anyone, but upon repsawn the camp still needed liberating. lol.

LOL.

I love liberating camps that have bears or tigers in cages - shoot the lock with something quiet and watch the ensuing mayhem.

OR.....
Leave the Bear in the cage, liberate the camp, place a landmine in front of the cage then open up the cage :D

Shoot them with a silenced rifle. I've let bears, komodo dragons & even cassowaries do my bidding :thumbsu:

Nice. I'm yet to do that. I've been sporting the Recurve Bow and would like to equip a sniper too, but not sure i have the option of a silenced one. Or is it an attachment?

It's an attachment on the M-700 IIRC.

I honestly can't remember, I haven't gone back into the Far Cry 3 stand alone world in months. My guess is that it is a mod you can buy.

Depending on how many towers you've climbed you should have a free one somewhere.

I've done a few. I think 8 or 9 now. It kind of bugs me opening up the map and not seeing it completed, so i've been going out of my way to get a few of them

Nice one. Next time i'm on i'll have to have a look to see if i've unlocked it yet
It is good to have, but TBH, it makes liberating camps a bit easy. I ended up using the recurve bow for most of it, only used the sniper rifle to open animal cages.

Pretty sure I spent most of the first 5 hours or so hunting, climbing and liberating.

I might spend my next session doing the same. I've heard the main storyline is quite short and it feels as though i'm progressing through it quite rapidly. I've just finished the 1st quest that crazy American living in a shack in Badtown gives you (i think it was burning 5 lots of crops), so not sure how long i have left to be honest.

That's the best quest (if it's the one I'm thinking of, burning the drugs with Skrillex as the background music). Shame I didn't take the flamethrower. Did the whole thing with Molotovs :p

There's 38 missions, some of the ones at the end are quite lengthy. I would do a few missions then mess about so I have no idea how long the main story is, but I would've put about a 24 or more hours to get the Platinum.

I thought the music was glitched lol. Because the music started right as i done something. I think i dropped from a hanglider into the water just to the other side of area where the mission was. Definitely one of the better ones, even thought i managed to get through 3 of them unnoticed before all hell broke loose on the last 2. :p

Enjoying it so far! Spent all of tonight just liberating outposts (about 15 or so), opening up radio towers and cracking on with hunting to upgrade wallet, pouches etc.... Map looked horrible completely red, looks better now that it's green. :p

Shot open the cage door on some of the outposts that were begging for a bear, leopard etc to be unleashed. I just sat back and watch the beauty of it rip those enemies to shreds. :thumbsu:

Just finished it. And, wow! What a game. Really takes a little to get going, but once it does some of the missions are so epic GTA would struggle to match the intensity. Just a brilliant game, can't believe i waited so long to play it.

For the ending i chose

Save friends. I think most people would have. :P I kind of guessed how the story was going to pan out. I sort of had the feeling early in the game that he would end up deciding to stay on the Island, but didn't think you could actually choose.I thought Dennis (who looks like Will.i.am) would end up betraying at some point. I ended up YouTubing the alternate ending to choose Sitra. What a cold-hearted bitch. And i winced at the part where you slit Liza's neck. She seemed caring. lol.

Yeah I chose that as well.

I just finished off the story for Blood Dragon. It really is one of the best written games I've seen.

Absolutely loved the last mission, that and the cinematics before hand. Actually I adored the game in general, it really nailed what it was going for and gave a great DLC which is probably my favourite DLC actually, but I haven't played the GTAIV ones in 4 years.
