FIFA 17 - Sweet FA Academy - Season 16/17 Begins!

In January, we loaned out Le Grille to Man United and recalled him immediately because * Man U.
There were no other offers.

The table looked like this:

6 points clear with 15 games to play. A strong start to the season with just the 1 loss and nearing an average of 3 goals a game.

In the Champions Cup:

We cruised through the group, also losing just once. The bracket is:

Malaga CF up first.

In the Premier League:

Nothing much to look at here. Blacky our best but well off the pace with HaroLad and JT_the_Man just behind.


tgrs equal second in the league for assists with 4.


As you'd expect, Fryer Tuck leading the league for clean sheets.

In the FA Cup:

spookism and Blacky feature with the 2nd most goals.


spookism scoring and assisting. Though only twice.

In the Champions League:

gym4life featuring here, 2 goals off the top.


...and also one assist from the top as well.

Wow, first time someone's bidded on me, and they want $147.5m... For a goalie... (Yeah, I know, player values, but as a GK, with Haro getting only 99m, I still have to wonder.)

I'd like to think that you were merciful enough to send them some self-help material, because... what.

Then the season ended.
First up, let's have a look at the League Table:

With incredible comfort we have lifted the Premier League trophy. Just 3 losses for the season. Still didn't crack the 30 win record set by Conte's Chelsea.

Speaking of Chelsea, we also made the final of the FA Cup:

Which we lost heartbreakingly in Extra Time thanks to a Musonda sealer for the Blues

But have no fear, we also made the Champions League final!!!

Here's some stats. First from the league:

JT_the_Man ends with the 3rd most goals in the league with 15. Blacky and tgrs each netted 11 times in the campaign.


Blacky also provided 9 assists with his 11 goals, while tgrs assisted 7 times.


No shock here, Fryer Tuck easily takes home the golden gloves.

In the FA Cup:

Blacky continues his stellar season, picking up the Golden Boot in this tournament with 7 goals. tgrs also scored 4 on our road to the final.


Blacky was also equal first for assists in the Cup.


Another golden glove for Fryer Tuck, what a machine of a keeper.

In the Champions Cup:

gym4life earns himself the Golden Boot for the Champions Cup with 7 goals.


He also assisted 4 times, just 1 off the top of the board. SM assisted 3 times during the campaign.


sante continued the trend of Morecambe keepers winning Golden Gloves, tying with Perin of Napoli to win the award here.

Golden Boot:
Blacky (20 goals from 49 games)
2nd: tgrs (18 goals from 42 games)
3rd: JT_the_Man (16 goals from 38 games)

Player of the season:
tgrs (7.4 rating across 42 games)
2nd: Blacky (7.3 rating across 49 games)
3rd: JT_The_Man (7.2 rating across 38 games)
