I was just looking at the Collingwood site, because I was thinking about heading to training some time this week, and it seems the club may be a little stricter then normal for the Wednesday session, which I guess makes sense.

Anyway, this is the schedule for the rest of this week;

http://www.collingwoodfc.com.au/training times/tabid/8731/default.aspx

Wednesday 1 September
Please note, Wednesday's training session is a closed session. Anyone viewing the session will be asked to leave.

Friday 3 September
10:30 am (Open) - Gosch's Paddock

All things being equal, looks like the best (and only) bet is the Friday session, so I guess I better start planning to set aside a few hours for Friday morning.

Hopefully we get a big crowd on Friday.:thumbsu:

Haha, yeah nobody would want to incur Leroy's wrath.

But seriously, it's public property isn't it? I don't really see how they can force people away from watching. You can hardly have someone arrested for standing around Gosch's Paddock.

Yeah, i agree, I don't think that there is anything they could do about it.

How can you 'close a session' on Gosch's Paddock?

Generally if the session is listed as "closed" opposition coaches and spies are meant to just stay away. It is an "honour" thing and does not involve high fences and black helicopters.
One of the coaches, Harvey I think it was, got castigated in the media for breaking the unwritten law earlier in the year.

The public are welcome to attend and usually the media have a look but don't report anything much.

where is Gsch's paddock? It is the oval next to olympic park?

On Swan St (Yarra Park)

On Swan St (Yarra Park)

It's the main oval just next to the new soccer/rugby stadium (AAMI Park).

The official address would be more likey to be on Punt Road then Swan Street.
