What a team of softcocks. Is the board ****ed? The coach, the players, the entire club? Nobody should accept a performance like that and think that there shouldn’t be consequences.

We are losing a generation of fans. How can kids be passionate about a footy club that never gives them joy or something to look forward to, in a football sense. I am surprised my kids are as interested in footbal as much they are, but they are nowhere as passionate as I was at their age, and dont hurt as.much as I did at the same age. It's just sad.

So crows win and continue their projection fwd
Dangerfield eats take out on the bench before the game has ended
Rebuild year 6 has proven to be an absolute cluster *@&@$@$@ and we limp into yr 7
Our defence and profile has been labelled horrendous .
It’s deep in winter and it really looks and feels bleak as
We’re all tearing out our hair and had a gut full
Our seniors continually make the same mistakes
Off season is looking like an absolute nightmare
Opposing fans of various clubs are laughing at the result…
We keep getting told it takes time to develop…..yet marvel at the light speed other clubs develop at compared to ours.
We’re debating wether Nobel should’ve stayed not gone
We silently ponder how the heck are we ever going to attract any decent free agents
We groan at the rate some (most players) are going backwards in skills and application compared to other clubs.
We try to block out the onslaught from the media we know is coming at us this week …and know it’s throughly deserved….but just wish for once that we could bask in our teams manic performance.
And were calling for everyone to be replaced ….in coaching, fitness and governance.

Yep this club and footy really sucks….and l hate that feeling.

We seemed to turn to shit as soon as Logue came back in. He didn't seem smart enough to be running the show down there or playing Zone defence.
This even happened when McKay was playing for us..While Logue was out our defence seemed to play better but as soon he came back in we fell apart...We need to get rid of him..

My blood is boiling, like most here. But yet the players and coaches seem quite happy with the way things are going. Plenty of smiles and laughter.
We have a President waltzing around hugging people in the rooms.
We have a captain continually smirking/smiling during and after games.
We have a coach who is a bumbling mess.
We have a list manager who has the IQ of a brick.
We have assistant coaches doing who knows what?

Enough of the koombya shlt. Get angry. Take full ownership of the situation and get better. If you can’t, then step aside. That applies to the Board, the coaches, the football dept. the players. Everyone.

Sonja Hood - it’s time to act like a President. Forget about being nice and friendly and making everyone feel comfortable. The best Presidents are ruthless and decisive. They make tough, and sometimes unpopular, decisions.
It’s time you stepped up, or stepped down.

Teams that are on the right path don't play like that - clear systemic failures across the grounds from very early on (how many long high kicks to an outnumbered Banch in a dangerous spot to turn it over?), the same indifferent games from players we're so sure are core to our success that we've locked them in for another half-decade, a team seemingly not capable of putting in a decent effort for the duration of a match... and when the notional improvement has been so meagre, heavy losses and performances this dispirited mean we're justified not to call it real progress at all.

That's been the problem from the outset with this 'rebuild' - rooted completely in the loser logic that just showing up often enough is good enough to get better, so it's seen as shrug-worthy to come out for a game like this one so willing to be trampled and treated with the obvious contempt and disdain they showed us throughout, the small club graciously accepting its rightful place as a lowly minnow team in a complete scorching of an identity once about thriving in adversity. Excuses are easier than honest conversations, so naturally the talk here is that it was good exposure for the kids, that injuries to Larkey and McDonald left us lacking in leadership, that we're not driven by the "hysteria around results" or whatever - because what possible value could there be in acknowledging that a system which crumbles instantly upon turnover is no system at all, or that effort is non-negotiable and we fell drastically short once again on that front?

We'll see meaningful change when the club's approach to this changes - when tangible improvement, accountability and results are deemed to actually matter. Without that, what framework is there for the brief glimmers of something better to be turned into real success? What system is there that's working to plan right now, that isn't completely and obviously a catastrophe? Having elected to fall behind the pack for a few seasons, what part of the bit where we supposedly then sprint ahead of everyone is in motion right now? The fact we're not even really gesturing at answers to these, just leaning on "we know where we're at", tells you all you need to know. Six seasons and counting of this...

So we supposedly have the stability now that the club and players craved . They said no excuses anymore… well WTF is going on? How many more coaches do we need to cycle through because we have seen the same shit, same problems year on year? It’s the ****ing culture, it’s broken. Starting at the top and filtering right through. AFL need to step in. I I hate saying this.

Parker, Sheezel, Powell, LDU and Simpkin had between 20-31 possessions tonight but they were absolutely smashed - possession counts mean nothing. That mix of slow, one-paced midfielders (minus LDU) might rack them up, but they cannot apply genuine pressure or withstand it and can't man up on the spread.

FOS at centre bounces in the last quarter looked far quicker and more agile, able to apply genuine pressure and actually has a will to compete. I'll spew up if Clarko and Patch don't change things in there.
Forget about Powell Simpkin and Davies-Uniacke. AFL players have already shown you how you deal with these players.

I’ve typed and retyped this, but nothing quite captures how I feel.

So many of us pour endless energy into this club. Many continue to tip in money year after year. I hit 20 years as a member this season. I know others—many from this board—who’ve been putting in for 50+.

When you invest so much of yourself over decades, it’s gutting to see that reflected back in performances that are so utterly lifeless, so lacking in pride or urgency. It feels like we're trapped in some eternal layer of Dante’s inferno—and somehow everyone at the club just accepts it.

Another week, another limp “get around me boys” post-game cuddle puddle from our captain after another inept showing.

Another dazed press conference from our coach—who, for the record, I still believe we must persist with—but who sounds like he’s spent the last three hours sniffing glue.

Do I expect Clarko to come out and say, “We’re shit, everyone”? Of course not. But would it kill him to say anything remotely substantial? “We’ve made a lot of mistakes.” “We persisted too long with X, Y, Z.” “The system wasn’t followed.” Just... something that shows he's watching the same game we are, not feeding us drivel in the hope it’ll placate the starving.

He either takes us for fools, or just wants to get through the presser on auto-pilot. Neither are acceptable.

His comment that “every recruitment team has their ups and downs” was flippant and frankly insulting.

Citing Nick Larkey as a success story made me feel ill—not because Larkey isn’t a good player, but because that’s the best we can muster. That’s the one name we reach for to justify the big-nosed albatross around the neck of this club? A bloke drafted nearly 10 years ago?

I’m disgusted with what this club has become. The players inept. The coach hamstrung. The leadership toothless.

We deserve so much better.

I just want to hear him say that was unacceptable.

I spoke about the ten year drought and 13 losses in a row on Monday.

The players don’t give a ****.
It’s clear they don’t.

It’s the members and supporters who are embarrassed by this.

The worst thing that happened was the Eagles and Richmond wins we stole. They papered over the cracks and gave a false belief of our improvement.

Let's be real...every win has come with a pretty big asterisk. The Melbourne game we were almost as bad as them for 3 quarters then they dropped their heads...the Carlton game they had quite a few outs and we fell over the line. West Coast we had absolutely no right to win we were absolutely belted in general play

Lol Crows beat port by 98 in the wet?? Saturday night horror movies
Crows are a very very good team, in fact one of the teams that can go all the way. The fact that they smashed the power into hell is the only good thing to happen tonight. Just like the blues & the bombers, if Zak Butters leaves port they are a bottom five team next year.
