Footy players punch up bombshell

Its quite funny that some claim I have a club bias when I actually call for Gehrig to have due process applied and then the club can do as it sees fit..
lol

Can I ask, why then do you constantly try and compare two completely different situations?

Highly unlikely, they do hire bouncers for a reason.

Good to see the bouncers were doin their job then.

Say the bouncers did do their job, and they continued to the street, where the settled it like men.... Happens in every pub around Australia every weekend.

Obviously male logic is not sinking into the female mind here, so I will just sit back and laugh at the replies you are putting in. You are a shade obsessed, is funny. :)

Until you are in a position where it happens to you and mates, it is not ideal to comment.

You would be upset if we didn't fly the flag on the field right? Well guess what, this is very similar, but off the field.

It is not ideal, but to run around not wanting any violence is pure garbage, if those boys stood their and took it, then the pool ball thrower would have most likely continued being a pillock and things may have got much much worse.

what utter bullplop, what goes on on the field is totally different. guess what this has to be the most ridiculous statment I have read on here for a long time.

How can you assume anything about me personally and tell me if I am in a position to comment. I have been in positions where people are pissed and ark up and thrreaten and shove, and in every instance that I have seen a brawl only breaks out when a retaliating punch etc is thrown.

The person that walks away and takes his mates with him is the one that is the stronger and better person not the one that punches on to fly the flag for his mates.

Who would settle it like grown men on the street?

Lambert,Voss,Gehrig,Black and Lawrence onto the pool ball chucker?
got to fly the flag as you said.

They would be in even deeper shit if that happened.

Obviously you're a tad sexist and a know it all who claims superiority rather than presenting a reasonable argument.

I'd say he's 100% correct actually. I've been in the situation a few times, and the last thing anyone wants to do is back down. I mean seriously someone is physically attacking your mate, you are an unloyal friend if you dont jump to his defence.

Sexist? You are the one on a male hating crusade. Voss was one-on-one against the pool ball thrower. Also, if the rest followed, do you think the pool ball thrower wouldn't have had mates come to his defence? Or maybe they were appalled by his gutlessness.

the two are different situations but the impacts on the club and integrity of the players are the same and therefore the application of penalties should be similar. If you go by your standards.

Nonsense. Tell me Einstein, what action could the clubs have taken here? Something based on reality would be nice.

You should be wasting your breathe defending Lawrence, not stepping into unknown territory.

I know I'll get flamed for being sexist, but this is where males and females are different. We defend our mates, it is how it is.

You must not have been in many volatile situations then. Sometimes the first blow is not necessarily a punch. It may be a shoulder, it maybe a shove into a group of people, it could even be a pool ball being thrown. And a retalitory punch as hard as Voss' is nothing to cry about. He wouldn't have made a 12 year old whimper with that hit. It served more as a warning.

Ok then, so I guess you see no link between onfield flying the flag and off field flying the flag?

Mateship, its what it boils down to.

Really simple.

Male hating crusade?

You do realize the pool ball chucker was male, if male hating was my crusade I would just enjoy the whole situation and laugh at you neandarthals attacking each other, but it is'nt so you're wrong.

It was'nt Voss's fight for starters so why would he be 1 on 1 if the fight spilled outside? I'd assume Lambart at least would want a piece.

Why should his mates have to defend him. If Voss and co left it 1 on 1 between Lambart and the pool ball chucker?

Why you're defending Voss's manly actions and palming females off as weak and unable to comprehend why are'nt you questioning Lambarts testicular fortitude. In your macho world surely he is in the wrong for not beating the guy senseless.

Laughable. That's like saying "oh there's no reason to defend yourself from a home intruder, just call the police; it's their job to sort it out". Great in theory, severely lacking in practice.

If the police are inside your house 10m away from you and can see and hear you getting attcked before you call them. Then yes it's a great theory.

If not, then defend yourself, but does your mate come around or go down the cop shop later and smack him one for good measure?

Ok, you dont seem to understand. I'm not sure whether its the estrogen, but theres definatley something causing difference in opinions between the sexes.

Lambert = Vossy's mate.
D*ckhead = Not Vossy's mate.

Lambert (Vossy's mate) gets hit by D*ckhead (Not Vossy's mate).

Vossy helps out mate (Lambert).

Is it that hard to understand?

Did Lambart actually get hit by someone, or a pool ball thrown at him. Or both?

Ok, this is where you may struggle to keep up. So hold on...

If your mate is under attack from a tool, and he is otherwise occupied or in a pub situation, drunk or totally oblivious or whatever, then what mate wouldn't stand up for a mate?

Lambert could very well have been drunk, or involved in a minor scuffle. Or who knows, he may have been restrained by McRae and other patrons.

Voss was not only defending his mate, but other patrons, the bloke acted in a stupid and dangerous way. Voss did what the bouncers should have done and took care of him.

Re: The G Train pushing a woman

All Voss was doing was sticking up for his mate after he had a billiard ball piffed at his head. (You guys know that you can kill a person with a billiard ball)

Compare the amount of people that have been killed by a billiard ball to the amount of people that have been hit in the head with a fist...

I don't like violence. I am female.

But, what I hate more is men who have their balls on a platter by women who dictate how they should act.I see it all the time, women at work screaming down the phone at their poor partners over something trivial. Then they get off the phone and laugh at is expense.

Men and women can ever be the same or think the same, its the way it is.

mateship is a essential part of being a male.

Firstly it is Lambert, show some respect.

Secondly, you must agree it was great to see the hired help flinging themselves into the situation to defuse the situation after the ball was thrown...

If the bouncers were doing their job, this would most likely have never happened. But they weren't, so guess what, it happened.

That's all well and good, but the situation was over and Voss was'nt defending anyone. gehrig had already stepped in played the saviour role you speak of as well.

Well, they certainly weren't at a 'cop shop' per the analogy; they were standing in a public street with no bouncers or police in sight. And with no audio to accompany the video footage, and no real time frame or context provided other than a few bits and pieces of footage, I'm not going to immediately assume that Voss' second dip was unprovoked.

Again, we're leading back into this "innocent pub goers beset upon by thuggish footy players" territory again.

Not many idiots throw a billiard ball. Takes a real buffoon to do that.

Ok, here is another one, alot more relevant...

How many people would die if hit in the cranium by a ball thrown as hard as the pool-ball thrower threw it?

How many people would die if hit by the same punch Voss threw?

Run along.

He was one-on-one against the guy, that's true. The situation looked pretty tame outside the PoW though until he walked outside and king hit the guy while the guy still had one of his hands in his pockets. He was pretty brave though, being a full head taller than the bloke, not as brave as big Fraser though  All of this is pretty much right across the road from where Hookesy got king hit before he died, right?
