Fair question. I talk like this with my male colleagues all the time and it's no issue; however we've all been issued written warnings when we were like this around a female colleague.

He's not a journo pleaser, but it doesn't make him a smug douche if he doesn't give them what they're so clearly chasing. He's generally pretty good if they ask even mildly intelligent questions.

If they haven't worked out how to get information out of him (i.e. by avoiding questions with an obvious narrative attached), then it's them not doing their job properly.

It wasn't quite a " you're quite brilliant Shane" moment, but the questions were repetitive and inane. The second look Lyon gave the idiot journalist was perfectly warranted.
He wasn't just doing his job, he was doing his job in a stupid way.
The journo clearly needs to give great effort and use his brain when formulating his questions.
