I am sick and tired of people not giving Rafa enough credit for a win. FFS do you people even know how much topspin rafa puts on every groundstroke??? the balls are so heavy it jumps over federers head everytime. Federer cannot play his original game whenever he plays nadal, in any surface.Even on grass last year he had problems beating Nadal. Now grass really neutralises Rafas topspin yet he has problems, because of his depth. Do you know how difficult it is to hit a winner of Rafas groundies??? because of his spin??? Magician my arse, he has no strategy, no plan B.If someone neutralises his top game (which only rafa can do) he is done.He is afraid to serve and volley against Rafa and rafas passing shots are the worst i have ever seen. What does that say about Federer?? Federer turned it on the second set and went a class above, but rafa weathered the storm. If it was any other player it would be a blowout from there.Rafa is one of the mentally strongest guys on tour, he is still learning the game on hardcourts and grasscourts.

Federer attempted to hit rafa off the court today.Never gonna happen on clay, like it happened in hamburg, because rafa was tired. Federer thought that was a real victory and tried repeating the same thing again.Rafa had more forced errors than Federer. First serve percentage of more than 70. Federers serve kept him in the game, he was lucky not to get bageled in the last set.

Rafa will only get better, Federer is 26 and will decline.
You're generally right, but stop taking it so personally and acting like a douche. You have petty insults for Federer, one of the greatest players who is an absolute genius. So you're no better as far as I'm concerned.

You turn more people off Nadal then actually encourage them to like him. There's already a ridiculous amount of people who dislike Nadal for the way he looks and plays, which IMO I think is unfair, but you're just giving him a worse rep!

Rafa played very well this week. So focused and determined, dosent make any mistakes. (on clay)

And TP unlike you, others can appreciate both players. I feel sorry for you that you cant appreciate Roger's brilliance, and enjoy his play, Due to your hatred of his *percieved* arrogence.

Brilliant post.

I love them both, and get excited every time they come up against each other. I prefer reading posts of true tennis fans who will appreciate the greatness of both, rather than a Nadal fan boy who has a 3 month period of laying the boot into Federer whenever he can every year.

Come Wimbledon I wonder what TP will be saying.

Nothing like rubbing it in mate :D There is nothing wrong with that. All month i have been listening how roger found a way to beat rafa and rafa will never beat roger again. Roger is arrogant, he called Nadals game as one dimensional last year and then last month he said he can win the french open now cause he made a so called breakthrough.

How is Rafa's game multi-dimensional?

Your location says Switzerland so it's strange you read Roger like that because the Swiss are famous for finding false modesty and dishonesty insulting, which is why Fed appears very blunt so often. Then people who are trying to hate him call him arrogant.

Rafa is a typical baseliner. So if you think he is one dimensional, then so is Agassi, Courier, Chang etc etc. Never heard someone calling agassi one dimensional. Federer is one dimensional as well, cause he rarely attacks the net and he is one trick pony hitting winner from the baseline . Even if he is one dimensional, he shouldnt say it.Its called mutual respect. If Neitz says Oh tredders is the worst kick for goal ever, dont you think AFL will fine Neitz? yes they will. Tennis is a supposed to be a gentlemans game, if you dont pay respect to your opponent (speciall when you are 4-8 head to head) then that speaks volumes about person you are

I have to agree that about switzerland though, its a wonderful place where even if you leave your wallet in the train, no one will take it and u will get it back in no time.I love this country for its honesty and hard work, which made this country one of the richest countries in the world. But you get one or two ****ers in between you know.Fed is one of them

Winners: Federer 18, Nadal 13.
Unforced errors: Federer 60, Nadal 28.

look no further than the above for why Federer lost. Discount his unforced errors and he easily won more points than Nadal.

Every match involving Federer revolves around how he plays. If he performs he wins. On Sunday he gifted a great clay player 60 points and despite hitting more winners - naturally since he has more game - he lost. Federer was comfortably ahead on total points won if we exclude unforceds.

Nadal didn't win it. All he did was keep the ball in play with a mere 13 winners hit. Rather Federer lost it with waywardness.

Nadals needs gifts from Fed to win in his own backyard.

What a typically crap comment just what i expected

Why do you think that fed commits more unforced errors against nadal than any other opponent in all the matches he has played so far, try answering that and then you might start learning about tennis :rolleyes:

Nah this time TP is right, this post is just factually incorrect and insulting to Nadal.

Nadal's top spin is too good for Federer on clay, and Federer has to try and play like super man to beat him. Federer needs better aerobic capacity if he wants to ever beat Nadal in a best of 5 sets on clay.

13 winners jono? He wins by resilience and surviving in points rather than by playing flashing winners or deft drop shots.

Nadal is a great clay courter since clay negates the need for the finer touches and feel shots and Fed does struggle against him but you must admit his radar was way out at RG final. 60 errors is absurd.

Now that we know he was suffering a bit with an adductor perhaps we can see why he felt he had to do for everything.

Anyway thankfully the clay drudgery is over and we are back to tennis as a game of touch as much as athletic prowess and aerobic endurance.

those are crap stats.Federer had more than 18 winners cause he had 10 aces. So are you saying he only had 8 other winners? i counted atleast 10.

Ever heard of forced errors?? nadal forces you to make errors. Anyway, the more you whine the more i laugh, you are trying to give excuses for your magicians loss. 2 weeks ago you were confident he found nadal out on clay
