Yeah, the ITF give a bunch of wildcards really depending on a number of factors, given Hewitt's DC record and his Wimby title, he would be a good shot you would think.

Serena was robbed at 5-3 in the 2nd set TB. Razzano ball lands on the line, it's called wide as Serena crushes a backhand winner... and then the linesman corrects herself, forcing a replay point. No doubt she would've won without that incident.

The final game lasted over 20 minutes with Razzano needing 8 or 9 match points to get the job done. Serena was beyond woeful and couldn't capitalise on some horrible choking from the Frenchwoman.

Not particularly surprised to see Serena out she has been rubbish on clay for over a decade not sure what the fuss about her was before the tournament. Never go off form in crappy lead up tournaments should be the moral from this particularly in women's tennis anyway.
I also think she is a shadow of the player she was ever since that health scare she had and age may be starting to get the better of her.. having said that shell probably come out and win wimbledon now haha
