Setterfield will be close to youngest player on your list (so much for a mature body - Draft of 2016) and McGovetn is a flakey fwd. Where are the mature bodied mids that the AFL gifted you to help out?

Enjoy bottom four for the foreseeable future.
Didn't realise the AFL said we had to pick mature midfielders.

Are you saying that Mitch McGovern is not a mature body?

Yes, setterfield will only be 21 by rd 1 but has basically spent two years in the gym, so his not exactly a beanpole 18yo that you seem to believe he is.

We also picked up a 25yo half back, would you consider him a mature body?

Hey, you're the ones who went cap in hand. But after biting the hand that feeds don't expect any more handouts.

Did the AFL tell GC and Carlton that they had to pick up mature age state league players?

Pretty sure the AFL would be relatively happy we used our two to pick up a 21yo and 24yo who are already in the AFL system.

Yep, the AFL must be dancing a jig at how you blokes are travelling.

Your original comment was about Carlton throwing away the chance to pick up mature bodies to only pick up 18yo's.

We used our access to 2 state league players to bring in a 21yo and 24yo who are already in the AFL system.

You then mentioned how Carlton threw away the chance to get Shane McAdam from the SANFL who you said looks a really good prospect. The problem is he is only 23 and played 1 year of SANFL footy but you think he is the mature body we are after.

Who do you think would have the more mature AFL ready body between McAdam and Setterfield?

It puzzles me why GC went for Burgess instead of Pickett who they've been strongly linked to and may take in the draft. I thought Burgess would have a lot fewer suitors than Pickett.

Wonder if they'll take Grigg or Gibbons too, their midfield is looking very thin.

What a bitter and negative post.
It's pretty clear what that poster's here for, and it certainly isn't for discussing the obtainment of mature talent.

YeOldTiger, you are aware we have a banter thread on our board, yes? Considering the substance of your posts - nonexistent - perhaps that would suit you a fair bit more.
