I dont think you can bring a kid in against Brisbane or Collingwood it has to be an experienced player. You either go stanley so blitz or sdk can be back all game or you look at Duncan in the quarterback role or bews (which releases zuthrie to that role). I think it has to be one of those 3. I think Scott showed his hand saying stanley is best 22. If the hammy is right I think its him.

Clark was probably odds on to be dropped but that game books him a GF spot. I wonder if he starts or is sub (depends who you bring in as eg stanley wont be sub but bews or Duncan could be) although I'm not sure if Clark can run out a full game.

Jack Henry has to play or it exposes us down back (even if stanley is back).
If it's Brisbane bring Bews in for Charlie Cameron and shuffle around until Guthrie is in the Stewart role

Respect to the Hawks too.... they pushed us all the way.
This is THE RIVAVLRY in the AFL

GO Catters
Had me nervous before the game, and that first qtr showed why. Also thought we were a 5 goal better side and so it proved.

Thanks, friend - another chapter written in the rivalry.

See you Easter Monday!

Hawthorn did everything right in that first quarter. They did their homework, their transition running was fantastic. We were kicking into congestition, they were bursting into space, the way they were weighting players on the wing to take advatange of our central zoning, was an excelent demonstration on why teams have started abandoning the strict zone defending.

We were so off, our ball use was so ineffectual. We were killing it in the contest and doing nothing with it. Stewart going down almost shocked the team out of its stupor. Almost like the Brisbane game, once we started lowering our eyes a bit and started using the space in the short distance, suddenly Hawthorn's defense had gaps in it everywhere.

I was worried that we gave away our tricks, but had a new bag of them this week.

That burst at the start of the 2nd half should have ended it, credit to Hawthorn they kept going back at us.
We're a bit banged up after that (They kept trying to hurt us until the siren). Especally behind the ball, we could be quite risky at selection to preserve structure.

I didn't think Danger still had a game like that in him, one more please. Great time for Stengle to get his radar back.
One more team effort.

I’ve never written this club off but at qtr time I did. I ripped my gurnsey off. Turned the tv off and followed you lot on big footy until Baz kicked that last goal. Geewhiz. I was wrong! What an amazing team and club we support. We’ve got every chance next week. Feel for Tommy Stewart but makes the Stanley decision easier if he’s fit. I love this club. Let’s get it done this year.
