Atkins is such a gun. 2nd highest clearances whilst nullifying the nuke. Highest tackles. Def our shining light in the first quarter. Bloke is an a grader. Geelong through and through
You've just got to love him. The bloke keeps getting better and better. There's no fanfare about him, he just goes in hard every week and does brilliant 💩

I had the darl beside me watching the game, she was keen for us to atone her loss from last week. That first quarter, I was getting a little cantankerous.

So, the lovely did a solid for us, she said, "I'm a bad omen, I'm going to clean the kitchen and see of that helps." Legit, thirty seconds later, we kicked our first goal.

I almost jinxed us. You-know-who can be thanked for leaving the lounge room and unjinxing my jinx! 😅
I'm certain I jinxed us in 2020. we were cruising then I accidently spilt a drink on myself. Wasn't even drunk. It was all downhill from that exact moment. Was also a very Richmond crowd at the venue. I've already chosen a different venue.

Ecstatic Bazlenka kicked a goal ♥️ 😻 ♥️

It’s marvellous he’s had an impact in his first year. Just seamlessly became part of the team IIRC, Holme in his post game interview said Baz worked hard to get to know all the players 😻

This says it all

Is there any possible way we can go through the courts to challenge the concussion protocols? Medical expert testimonies?
CTE is real. Even if present-day Stewy wants to play, future Stewy will be thankful the protocol was followed.

Small consolation - A high profile miss like this will tip the AFL heavily towards shifting the pre-Finals bye to pre-GF.

I certainly do + that is unconditional love ♥️

You’ve got Kingy now. I’m certainly things will come good for the Dees.
I’ve pretty much made the assumption that now we have King we will win at least five of the next 10 flags.

How many premierships is it now that they should have won in a row, if only the CFL wasn't in endless conspiracy against them?

Is it 15 or 16?
It's like if you run over a goat in some countries, they go funny math on you..

If this goat had x kids and each one has y kids.. (ad infinitum), resulting in a huge number.

Oh I know it's real. There's already been one high-profile CTE death (Danny Frawley) and two very recent suspected CTE-related deaths (the Selwood twins - nothing released as proven I might add so I am purely speculating here) so I know the rationale behind the protocols.

Morally, the reason is sound. But are the protocols legally BINDING? If the club was of a mind, could they challenge within a week?

Morally, I think the sport's obligation to post-career health and wellbeing should weigh against a challenge (imagine any other corporate structure asking/demanding workers forgo long-term risks for short term profit?) but still...

Could the club challenge this from a purely legal perspective?

I believe that makes her a keeper!

Why is john ralph trying to claim radio silence and now a sanction coming geelongs way for third party payments?? I thought this was a bunch of nothing
He’s a Richmond fan, despises Geelong.

Because the press failed to get traction from their manufactured Scott + Smith scandals, which were resolved quickly, but the press kept twisting + publishing ‘misleading’ articles.

He apparently loves chasing wild geese.

IIRC the third party payment was a car to an AFLW player. Fine would be low four figures 🙄

He’s a W⚓

GRAND FINAL HERE WE COME!!!

What a rollercoaster. Have to say, when the Hawks flew out to a 3 goal lead, Henry went down unable to put any weight on his left foot, and Stewart going off getting subbed off, I started to think it’s going to be one of those nights, but what a ****ing turnaround.

Was at the game, atmosphere electric, was surrounded by Hawks who were loud, quite arrogant and very mouthy, a few even mocked Stewart when he was done and went off. Shattered he misses next week, deserves another shot.

One of the best wins and performances from our skipper, to see the Hawks fans walking out in the 4th leaving the wizard hats behind was glorious. Another grand final, love this club!

Sam Mitchell when asked about changing the bye to before the Grand Final, asked specifically about Tom Stewart. His response:

"I don't give a shit. Sorry."

Seriously what a completely classless dickhead. I'd hate to be coached by this tosser. Really hope he never even gets to play his team in a grand final, let alone win one.

Always been an on brand Hawthorn shit bloke

Like we didn't like the Adelaide Crows's lawfare to whittle down the homophobic slur ruling, it would be short-sighted for the GFC to challenge the concussion protocol.

There will be many such talented players and many such premiership opportunities for us in the future. We can't compromise our 166 year old institution's integrity & reputation over what is a silent and deadly killer.

Did Stewy actually fail the concussion test? He was obviously concussed from the footage. That is the only loophole you will have.

Disclaimer: I'm not a lawyer.
