Just watched the pre-game presser, and I'm reminded that I actually really like Chris Scott

It's a shame the club didn't nominate him to give us the premiership cup.

I was bearish of the Lions chances all week. But today I’m bullish this will be an easy win. All the Lions have to do is win the contests, the stoppages and clearances and I can’t see how the Cats can compete.

Each Lion just has to go harder than their opponent.

If Lions start to lose those 50/50s I think Cats outside ball movement will destroy the Lions. They have great player out wide and the blokes we will have to play aren’t exactly elite. Smith and Dempsey will run rings around Marshall and Ashcroft. Berry is a HUGE out.

Just win the contests lads.

I find brown an annoying commentator to begin with. He has his schtick he tries to maintain but I don’t know if it works with commentary. It’s what it’s like listening to cricket commentary these days with inside jokes etc.

I thought there were more Lions fans at the parade than Cats....although to be fair, I wouldn't want to drive up the road from Geelong to the MCG and surrounds two days in a row. It's a nightmare trip these days..

I got a text from my wife yesterday letting me know that she is meeting up with two of the teenage girls for a movie around 2:30 on Sat afternoon ... I wasn't sure if she was taking them or we were taking them ... mentioned something about what movie were we seeing and got this look of sincerest pity (or something but I will stick with pity) and she reminded me I had a football game to watch Sat afternoon!

Generally our mids have bounced back from poor performances, but we are going to have to really dominate in there to win.
