Don’t rate Brown. He’s only decent at the sterile conditions at Etihad where we play about 2 games a year. Has very few strings to his bow. If he doesn’t mark on the lead offers sfa. Big pass for me.

Having a look at his highlights from 2019 ... he is probably a bit better than that in my eyes ... but maybe 1 goal in 5 to 10 coming from a good strong contest mark. I doubt he would suit slow movement, and had no pressure..

Looks like the Saints are also interested in Higgins. What's the bet he rejects us again? He has done so on a number of occasions already, we've chased him fr years. He doesn't seem all that interested in playing for us.

Unlikely. Last time i saw a phantom they predicted only 3 in the first 10 might be academy picks. It won’t be as high as some are predicting.

Also forgetting all the player movement though. Williams alone will be a first rounder. Then there's Crouch, Cameron, Brown, Daniher, Viney, Corr etc. Could be 5 or 6 places, if a lot of those go on decent money. Hopefully though, most will be end of first rounders, meaning it won't impact us at all...but who knows...

I honestly don't think anyone really cares if we get him or not so if the saints want him good luck to them. He wont be the difference between us or them winning a flag.

In addition to Higgins...

“The Cats are awaiting an answer from Greater Western Sydney star Jeremy Cameron on his future and are also chasing Brad Crouch (Adelaide), plus hold an interest in Joe Daniher (Essendon) and Jack Viney (Melbourne).”

Things are getting grim over on the North Melbourne board...
Some posters discussing a trade of Brown to Collingwood, and receiving Mason Cox in the deal.
Without doubt, the most North Melbourny thing I have ever heard in my life.
Yes, I'm a north fan and laughed at that. I'm sure a lot of Collingwood supporters would approve. Somebody from Carlton is trying to give us Jack Silvagni too but I don't think we are that desperate. I would be more interested in Charlie Constable. I have seen him live a couple of times and wonder why he can't crack a regular spot in your team- is he slow, poor disposal or what?

Running ability but endurance more than pace. If he builds a tank the rest of his game is good enough to develop into a decent inside mid in spite of a lack of leg speed. Or needs to add some versatility so he can rest in other parts of the ground.

We should be into this guy up to our eyeballs

Depends on what he costs but we do need a ruck. Something like polec to Melbourne.. preuss and Higgins to Geelong and picks or players from Geelong to north might potentially be workable. I'd just prefer to keep our R1s IF we can everything else in terms of picks and fringe players I'd be open to in the right trade.

Tells you everything about how parlous our rucks stocks are (whenever Rhys is unavailable) that some would apparently jump at the prospect of snaring Preuss.

As a first-year draftee, Jackson had him covered in his sleep at the Dees this year. He is really not that good. And now appears to be another one of those intriguing characters who increases in supposed lustre with every game he doesn't play at AFL level.
