Interesting article, only problem is that Fremantle don't have pick 7 - that's Carltons pick
So while Fremantle may be happy trading pick 7 for Clark, not sure Carlton will agree
Really curious as to why journalists can't get even the basics right
I dont want to lose Simpson or Sav though.
Good.

If that's the case we should be using the cap space to get Cameron for free. Which is maybe another reason we've dropped out of the race.We have the cap room for both its more if we still want crouch and want to pay him.
Its like they are in a time warp... the had 7 before it was adjusted before the adjustment for their debt from last year
Simpson I definitely don't want to lose after watching him this yearI dont want to lose Simpson or Sav though.

I'd be reluctant to lose Ratugolea as he's only 22, was a later comer to the game and looks to still have a lot of room for development; but if a deal worth over his value was presented then it could be hard to say no
As I said..I think we could work out a way to do it... but id rather persist with young mids..hopefully robust mids
More like the entire article is speculation.
I still wouldnt let him go. He is our only decent big guy under the age of 25/26 years old. De Koning may be good but we dont know.Simpson I definitely don't want to lose after watching him this year

The Cats are thrilled to have attracted star free agent Cameron but will now have to trade for him given GWS is intent on matching a bid.
Geelong has a trio of first-round picks but GWS has already indicated it would like young players in the package before it releases Cameron.

Clark has only played three games this year after a sizzling debut season in the AFL last year, but doubts have emerged about his defensive capacity.
Clark, who is from Western Australia, would help bolster the Dockers’ running power and linebreaking ability through the half back line and wing areas.

The Dockers are known to be keen on Clark and have zeroed in on a potential trade while he has remained sidelined late in the season.
Clark, who is contracted at Geelong for next season, finished equal fifth in the Rising Star award last year.
If that's the case we should be using the cap space to get Cameron for free. Which is maybe another reason we've dropped out of the race.
That would be the most expensive trade of a contracted 28 yr old let alone a free agent.Wrll whats better pick 11.13 or Cameron... I would take Cameron any day of the week.. The good clubs rule FA and the dwellers rule the draft...
Thanks for that. Free in terms of holding on to our round 1 picks.Spending more money is the opposite of getting Cameron for free.
I am hoping Simpsons finals have made Geelong re think CrouchOn Crouch, I think we have a core group of "young enough" midfielders that I'm not sure there's even an obvious spot for him.
Guthrie, Menegola, Parfitt, Simpson is a fine core group that could play together for many years, plus we have some hopeful, potential rookies who could slot into roles alongside them.
That's also ignoring the very short term Dangerfield and Selwood of course.
Crouch would probably push out Simpson, and likely out perform him, but I don't think that's enough of a short term net gain to longer term net loss to both, especially considering how much we'd have to pay him.
It seems like the club sees it in a similar way to how we do, and agree.
Richmond can have him.
Why you go Higgins over Crouch if you have a choice is insane.
If Cameron is getting 900K as Jay is suggesting then it’s wrong that the Giants can match. They can’t pay that amount so how can they offer it.
We won’t get a second rounder for Cocky and I’d say there is zero chance Esava gets traded as it would leave us with two rucks and zero on the horizon.
He is not but let’s not forget ppl had him delisted a month go.Simpson isn't going anywhere
