I'd rather Dogs pick 23 for 32 & 50 just to get in front of picks by the Tigers x2 Crows Eagles Blues Hawks (5 teams/6 picks)
That's only 42 more points for them, absolutely no chance.

Ross Lyon to have on a coaching panel would be phenomenal, he has a great footy brain and has coached sides to premierships regardless of game style he wouldn't necessarily need to impart that side of things to the game plan but knowledge would be immense.
Are you thinking of a different Ross Lyon or something?

We have 3 3rd rounders next year to add to the mix or replace 30 with 32, plenty of ways to skin a cat.
What premierships?
I don't think picks in next year's draft will appeal to them. As far as I know, they don't have any academy/father-sons next year, so they won't need points. They won't need to make up a draft deficit either as they're well covered for points this year.
If we don’t get Schenslog or Brander as DFA, they might well be taken by other clubs before we get to them in the rookie draft. He's available as a DFA but I think our preference would be to rookie him so that we have more options with our senior list. There are a few mature KPD options, so I don't think it will be all that competitive to sign these guys.

Just gives him the freedom to explore other opportunities easily, I suppose? Can come back to them if no takers. Sort of like what we said about Constable except he's not a rookie. Not Geelong related but why would Collingwood delist a rookie only to select him again in the rookie draft?
Collingwood has also delisted rookie Isaac Chugg, but has committed to re-select him in the NAB AFL Rookie Draft.
You really do seem to confuse opinions for facts hahaha. It's not very very real it's just your opinion and going by your track record of predictions on here not a very reliable one.

I have literally just read that the AFL extended this to four years for 2022, so now I'm as confused as you are.Pretty sure players can only spend two years on the rookie list, to a maximum of three if they meet certain requirements, and have to be delisted and re-rookied if the club doesn't want to elevate them.
Correct! Go have a look who won the cats tipping contest AGAIN this year! His predictions are very reliable![]()
Ah yes, of course.Pretty sure players can only spend two years on the rookie list, to a maximum of three if they meet certain requirements, and have to be delisted and re-rookied if the club doesn't want to elevate them.
Upon closer inspection, it may be so they meet the minimum requirement for three drafted players, as they will sacrifice most of their selections for Daicos. Not Geelong related but why would Collingwood delist a rookie only to select him again in the rookie draft?

Getting a has-been coach from a bygone era seems fitting for our list at the moment. Our coaching appointments seem to be following our on-field recruiting strategy.OUT: One arrogant defensive-minded prick in Scarlett
IN: One arrogant defensive-minded prick (with added sexual misconduct charges to go alongside) in Ross Lyon
Good job Cats...good job.
Anyone saying 'Ross the Boss' is some 'master tactician', are the same people that thought Malthouse would be the same for Carton.
He's from a bygone era with completely different rules and a much more attacking, 'surge' mentality gamestyle courtesy of the Tigers and Dogs, coupled with the 6-6-6 rule, has replaced it.
He's a relic from a bygone era, and his ideas no no longer hold any weight in the current era.
Hardwick, Beveridge, Goodwin, Fagan, they're the coaches with the modern ideas and the adjustment to the current gamestyle. Hell, throw Nicks, Rutten, Longmuir, Longmire and Noble in there too if you like.
Bottom line is, Lyon is a has-been and his coaching 'nous' is not forward-thinking enough to be relevant in this current era. Unless he's completely reinvented himself, this caper reeks of Scott and Hocking getting another 'boys club' together, at the expense of what is best for the long-term future of our club. Hell, the Carlton board didn't even want Lyon, and here we are.
Godammit this pisses me off. He's not a good person, and shouldn't be anywhere near our club.
Rant over. Come at me Lyon lovers
You were in it or did you give up after round 6?In a field of 1.
Which sides has Lyons coached to premierships - is that in the VFL?Ross Lyon to have on a coaching panel would be phenomenal, he has a great footy brain and has coached sides to premierships regardless of game style he wouldn't necessarily need to impart that side of things to the game plan but knowledge would be immense.
