Bews SDK O'Connor
Henry Stevens
Holmes Constable Parfitt
Evans Ratagolea Close
Miers Stengle
Neale Stephens Narkle
I/C Atkins Kolo, Evans Simpson Z. Guthrie Greek Freak
Only really missing a CHB and a FF under 30 in 2024.
Well have Cameron for a couple of years and could pick up Brander or Schlensog too
3 drafts and further FA by then too
Not as grim as it sims
Constable best 22 in 2024? He might not be on the list next week.

Recent history would cast considerable doubts over getting any prolonged value from the likes of Stephens, Holmes or SDK.

Well we have lost two AFL ‘able’ forwards in Jenkins and Fort (who looked a fwd who could pinch hit ruck) and two backs in Krueger and Henderson and haven’t bought a single person in yet.

I don’t think it’s unreasonable to have Schlenshog and Brander come onto the list (primary or rookie) as well as look to hit the draft with a further selection like Rhett Bazzo or 20 year old Leek Aleer.

Have to say I liked the look of Leek Aleer..

What free agents we gonna get/target in 2022, 23 & 24?
Makes a huge difference if we know that instead of just looking at our list as of today.
And making a silly school yard guess.

Not a lot of FA options. 2023 marginally better with Parish and Hopper potentially as targets. 2022 not much beyond Miller.

Schlensog yeah sure if he's ready I agree we're thin for kpds but with two non-ruck kpfs and a narrow home ground we can't just park rucks in the forward line, they actively remove space and make us worse. We had so many ruck and forward options in the 2s this year that Tsap played nab league and Neale spent half the season in WA

Tsap spent half a year in nab because he wasnt ready for vfl physically
Next year him and neale will mostly ruck in vfl i expect cegs or sav will play more forward if in vfl.
In defence the vfl team will be very light on with black retires with sdk sometimes in afl.
We have room for at least one more tall at either end in vfl team.

And none of them will move.
So I repeat, 2022 is light on.

Hopeful best 22 for next year (not bloody likely):

B: Henry, SDK, Bews/O'Connor
HB: Stewart, Blics, Tuohy
C: Holmes, Menegola, I. Smith
FO: Stanley/Ceglar, Danger, Guth
HF: Duncan, J. Cameron, Simpson
F: Stengle, Hawk, Close
INT: Sel, Evans, Parfitt, Stephens

EMG: Ceglar/Stanley, O'Connor/Bews, S. Higgins/Miers, Atkins

Chook might hold on. The rest will be here I would have thought
I just wanted to confirm because on the trade wrap video with Stephen Wells, Tom King asked him if there were 7 spots available on the list 5 senior and 2 rookie and Stephen's reply was there were a couple more than that. With Cat B rookies etc are we able to have more spots or is the 5 and 2 the maximum we can have

Jordan Clark... What a *******. Disappointing times. Little baby gets his bottle after all.

Tenace? Murdoch? Krueger?
Nah seriously, give me footballers please.
Get your point but there needs to be a balance of both. We can’t have ’natural’ footballers occupying a wing when their direct opponents are clocking up 15kms in a game, that would get real ugly.

What on earth has recent history got to do with Max Holmes or Sam DeKoning?

I agree we are light on for defenders but I think we have the right amount of kp forwards

No he didn't. He asked if there was 5 spots to fill, and Wells essentially said there's a few more if you include the rookie spots.

We didn't bring Cegs across to play forwardline in the VFL.

We have 3 kp forwards on the list. 4 would be ideal imo with 2 developing in the VFL. Definately light on for defenders.

We have a lot of nothing players we need to move on - Constable, Narkle, Atkins, Dahlhaus, Higgins, Zuthrie and Rohan are not going to make us a premiership winning side. The sooner we move them on the better

I wonder if it physically not ready or just a lower standard due to lack of play..coming from basketball and he qualified for the nabl

anyway he plays vfl next year, Neale too. Where they play will be worth watching.

The trouble with relying on FA ..is there is not enough of them and they do not always select you. Most stay. I suspect by 2023...we will have slipped to 2nd choice appeal. I think the best FA will pick someone on the up or a good group of years to come. Right now I could imagine any FA on that list look at Melb or the Dogs as more tasty that us.... by that stage other will be moving up as well ess carlton etc.
