After only 2 qts he handles pressure what VFL practice match pressure, seen so many VFL players turn it on then never do it again
To be fair, when finals roll around, that often appears to be the level of pressure that most of our senior players are comfortable with as well.

He might just fit right in.

He marked 40 out directly in front to win the game. He put it over the goal umpire's hat.

He's trying to impress..he's expected to kick it being a key forward...that's pressure..yes, not AFL pressure agreed, but a degree of pressure anyway and he drilled it home.

You can only address the challenges in front of you and he did it with aplomb. All I'm saying is the kid looks like a good prospect. ...and a key forward prospect to boot.

I hope we see more of him.

Pressure is mind mech. Kicking to win the game is ....kicking to win the game. Years ago , I went out and played skins golf with a few mates.. 1$ a hole from each player. By the 4th or 5th hole when there is 20 dollars ridding on a putt , your brain starts channel the squeal scene in deliverance. Kid which can gain possessions and kick goals at a lower level.. generally can do the same at a higher level. A pressure kick is a pressure kick. My only concern with player like him is getting the ball. If he showed me a big pack mark leaping across a pack id be more reassured. Few players can just do it ona lead like Hawk can now. Still , one thing at a time. He looks to have enough to give more games.

Great hands...beautiful accurate kick...handles pressure...

Get him in the hoops asap...

I liked fiore in the richmond game. Its interesting newtown played him back at geelongs instruction and it sounds like he prefers playing as a defender but he was then good as a fwd.
Be interesting to see where he plays in our vfl side-play him as KPD maybe as we are thin there and look at him for mid season draft if he performs?

He started the VFL match at fullback then swapped with Neale they keep putting Neale down back

Where did you hear/read that?

Very interesting if true

Im not surprised re neale with him conway tsapa and at times one of ceg/rhys/sav in the 2s this year we will have a lot of rucks in the 2s but not enough kpds so one of them at least will spend some time in defence imo.

Connor Idun looks much bigger both taller and physically. Was almost an a academy player for us and would’ve been a handy player to have particularly if he can develop into a key position player.

To add to the almost academy players I think Geelong will be keep in contact with Jamara. He’s got talent but looks like he’ll take a bit longer to develop and may not end up being worth the pick 1 price.
The Dogs are well placed with their team to have success. But you never know how things might turn for player or club. If he doesn’t start being able to get a run of games he may be open to looking elsewhere.
He could play a very good role alongside Cameron and Esava assuming Hawkins would be retired if he came.

Quotes from newtown in the latest k rock footy article.

Eagle ready to take flight - K rock Football
Apologies if covered elsewhere - Do we still have a spot on our list ?
Obviously don’t want to rush based on 2 qtrs of a VFL practice match but (given our KDP needs and Sav’s unreliability up forward) we might want to draft in if Fiore can show similar form in early season. Might fill that gap in depth/future promise from Freddie’s departure.

According to SEN several clubs with Pies at the top of the list are trying to convince Sutherland to join their cat b list. No mention of Geelong but he was discussed on here in the off season. And obviously has links to the club through his dad.

We do have a spot yes but given the SSP deadline is tomorrow if we were signing anyone i think we would have heard about it. So more likely we are saving the spot for the mid season draft. Fiore might be an option then if he plays well in the vfl.

I’d prefer to use our pick on a kid who didn’t get drafted but has developed/slipped through the covid cracks.

Fiore is a KPF who managed 4 goals in a half last week. He was quick, strong in the air, and a beautiful accurate kick who didn't get drafted but has developed/slipped through the covid cracks.

... and listening to SEN today... they mentioned Sutherland ..and collingwood be interested. Atm he is still happy in cricket but if he changes his mind..I hope we talk to him before he signs alsewhere.

With the money in cricket i doubt he comes back but if he wants to i would enquire.
