A deal half as good will do me.I don't think we'd get a sweetheart deal on Haynes like with Bowes. They aren't desperate
That's good enough for me. Get 28 for Sav and go get him Cats!!Minute and a half quicker than Chook. The comparison question can be put to bed

Both the club, and any supporter with a clue could see that our trade period last year was about winning another flag in 3-6 years time. Not everything is about the here and now.Best trade periods... On paper maybe... didn't translate into on field performance; we actually went backwards. Let's see what the future holds. The fact is if we don't get a decent ruck or midfield we won't make top 4. Other teams are getting better - where is our improvement going to come from exactly?
Neither do i.Unsure if Haynes still got it ..
Probably no. X looks like he is gettable but where does he want to be. Its up to him and Port as he is contracted. Zane is probably top5. Its possible that he slips thru to us but experst like twomey say he goes before our pick. I believe there isa third broth but he is a couple of years yet.can we get both duursma boys?
Unless they can get Himmelberg from the Crows ..cant see it happening .... but sure would like them to throw a pick in the 20's at the issue.A deal half as good will do me.

3 blue chip kids, and a solid enough player in Bowes. You're just whinging for the sake of it at this point.
We'll likely do similar again this year with another top 10 pick and whatever we get for Sav.
There's nobody available who's going to move the needle for us. The club is doing the right thing and prioritising youth over other clubs rejects.
If you're the type of supporter that can only get excited if we're bringing in a top 10 player every off-season, then I'd question why you're here in the first place
I don't think we'd get that eitherA deal half as good will do me.
I do like WilsonI wish they would release the times of the kids tested at the combine.... Why don't they? Is it they do not wish to embarrass those with the larger numbers?...
anyway ..looks like a sandi kid O'Leary really killed it. Im not sure I have seen his name rated highly ..maybe thats enough to get him drafted? GC academy ruckman Read ran a sub 6.0 minute 2.K time. Thats motoring for a 200 plus guy. Earlier bid ? Top10 likely.
The name that I note ... Darcy Wilson. 5.52. That would have to gather our attention. His running mixed with the other parts of his game... very attractive. prospect.
Sandringham Dragons wingman Tarkyn O’Leary blitzed the field as he ran a time of 5min 48sec.
O’Leary edged out Murray Bushrangers wingman Darcy Wilson (5min 52sec), while 200cm Gold Coast Suns Academy ruckman Ethan Read crossed the line in a time of 5min 56sec.
The draft hopefuls will be put through more club interviews and medical testing on Saturday, before completing agility, sprint and jump testing on Sunday.

Could take 40, then if we do get 28 for Sav use both to get a better pick. Not sure exactly what that would get us though and if it's worth it. I do like the idea of stacking some future picks for next year.Unless they can get Himmelberg from the Crows ..cant see it happening .... but sure would like them to throw a pick in the 20's at the issue.
The most I have heard so far is them being willing to pay half... but it still leaves 600 to 700 on a player thats 32 in May and possibly on the wane.
Looking at their picks ...would we take him for P40? I think id prefer a Fr2
Not really, as we need midfield options and we all know that's our weakest part of our side, especially between 25-30 as basically only have 2.. there could be up to another 4-5 will retire next year, so we need back up...we could bring him in and he will play Ok im sure.. but players like him will make it harder for players like Dempsey and Kroeger and other younger guys to get their shot.

Wilson has to really be considered. Should be there for our pick. That speed/endurance combination is ideal. The kid can play.
Ceglar was interviewed on trade radio yesterday, interesting bit that caught my attention was when he was asked about Conway. Who seems to be getting a lot of attention on there probably a lot to do with Jenkins influence. He was full of praise for Conway, said he and Stanley were taken back by some of his training against them.
When he was asked if he is ready to be the main ruck he said no, he’s missed a lot of footy and it’s really hard generally for rucks to play each week at his age and development. Said the club should be looking to get up to 10 games from him next year. And that geelong are great at managing players and confident they’ll do that with him.
That’s in line with my thoughts hopefully he had a full season next year with a number of afl games but highly unlikely he can play every week.
I’m still hopeful we are going to add another ruck although comments from Mackie don’t give me much hope. I’m not concerned with a combo of Stanley, Blicavs and Conway. But an injury and we’re in big trouble and two of those guys have been consistently injured.
