As we are now getting into the season and we are starting to get a bit more serious with discussion, seems a suitable time to post the following as it's repeatedly shown itself to be a value reference tool in trade & draft discussion

And as per normal, thanks to Lore for putting this together - always a fantastic reference tool

And yes this post is now stickied - makes it easy to keep track of (can easily reverse this though if needed)

We get it, you don't like Clark and don't rate him. Others do. Not really constructive to keep posting how much you don't rate him over and over again though. We all have different opinions, but I don't think it's worth getting upset over if Wells and Mack and co. rate a player more than any of us nobodies on here - whoever that may be.
Yes... All that matters is how good the player turns out down the track... Until then we are all wasting/filling in time blabbing about it.

I rate Clark plenty and would love him on the list... Maybe just not ahead of some of the other potential options.

Going more on potential upside + list balance.

Anyway whoever we take... fingers crossed they turn out very good.

My opinion means zero.

I've had a crazy past week or so at work and didn't realise how far it had jumped ahead until staring at the page numbers tonight - it does feel that this is the biggest trade & draft discussion we've had for a while
Makes sense given we haven't had a decent pick in 1 and a half decades, haha

Completely reasonable take :)

Trust me though, you'll be pulling your hair out if we did land Tsatas and we didn't iron out his defensive deficiencies or getting his kicking sorted...as it's a tough watch in some of his games, haha

I'm down with guys that can't kick... Humprey, Tsatas, Dangerfield, Fyfe.

But they all tackle and apply mass pressure to make up for shanking a kick - Tsatas just shanks it and makes it someone else's problem, haha.

Laid like 2 tackles during the champs apparently? Was getting highlighted over on the Hawks board

Clearly bad. We are carrying this fxxking board.
Between Oct-Mar it really is hard to give a **** what the club does.

And the SDK draft shows how easily the masses on here can get it wrong with just some highlights packages to go off.
Ultimately though who cares what Vinum is moaning about this time ;)

There was an article in the other thread about west coast .... Is it true West Coast is looking to trade ... earlier into the draft? I presume they would offer 12 and something to get to the wa kid the want ?

They traded back they wont now trade up.

They traded back they wont now trade up.

They went from 1 pick to two picks. ...and since then at least one kid Allen is probably going earlier than they might have hoped.... It is for them to decipher it but. Bessin , Allen , Ginbey ..they probably want two ... and maybe they wish to ensure they get who the want.. Two would have been a poo use of their pick. No one has a WA kid going that early, and to take a Vic kid rather than WA talent seems aginst their preferred approach . The WA player seem to be a few picks later... that 5-15 range.

so moving from 12 to an earlier pick ...if they could arrange it ..I could see how they might be interest.

Don’t honestly think it’s worth melting over. Tsatas is a talent but has deficiencies in his game. Probably has the higher ceiling but I’d say also has the lower floor too.
I agree with your take.

I like aspects of several of the players but few are what Id say are obviously must picks. Id sat Tsatis may have more upside..but he is different type. He has played less.

What ever we do I will just go with the flow and make my own assessment when he is our colours.. I think its pointless getting to weld to a player at this stage.... it seems to be why we see a lot of PDSD. .... Post Draft Selection Disappointment . In truth we nev know what we have till we see them play in and around our guys.

I still feel if Clark is there we take him ... but I guess there is always the chance of a surprise. From memory Joel was that . Wells thought he would be gone by our pick 7. and pre draft it was all about Boak.

Agreed. With pick 7 I sort of feel like the kid who’s stolen a lolly from the local milk bar, has walked out but is now experiencing remorse for his actions but is no way handing it back! If the lolly doesn’t turn out to be that good then he probably deserves it. 🤣

Clark it sounds is now looking more likely again which is probably what Wells and Mackie expected all along. I won’t be shocked or disappointed if he gets called earlier, more a little surprised. Whatever scenario plays out, we will secure a good young kid.

I shouldn't judge this guys character, but i am getting major vibes of high maintenance... If he actually becomes elite he probably would want to be payed a lot.. I hope we stay clear...

.....and could be far, far worse if it all goes wrong. If he ends up just being a middling player; or worse out of the league the guy might lose his mind.

Tsitas seems to have dropped massively in the rankings. Very athletic and a ball magnet. He is around the mark for our pick. Him and Clark are similar level talents imo.

I'm still on the Phillipou train. Don't care if he is a dickhead. Can seriously footy. Athletic, impactful in the forwardline and in the centre, good overhead, good kick. Outside of his 'attitude' no real weaknesses. I reckon he is gone before our pick.
