great win guys! watched the whole game. Won without a MASSIVE performance from Kennedy or Lecras which was even more impressive.

Didnt want to start a new thread but wanted to get your thoughts on Tom Swift? Is it just me or is this guy a horrible horrible footballer? I have a mate over in WA who supports WC and says Gaff has been playing well in the 2nds. How is this Swift in the team over him?
Or was this just a bad game from him?
Would love to know from WC supports what your thoughts are on him.

I think thoughts on Swift are pretty mixed around here, a bit like his game. Some good things, lots of bad things. I'd say as soon as Gaff puts a bit of muscle on him he'll be in pretty quickly.

Had a pretty bad game did Swift. Especially that handball to Naitanui and then blocking his run. Frustrating.

I panicked every single time Chapman got the ball in the second half. And it seemed like I panicked a lot. I knew the Cats would come back and they duly did. They are hard to kill.

I still believe they're giving him game time to improve his trade value. And I still believe they'll package him with a draft pick for Rich.

Good win guys. Like last week, if we managed to get up, we would've pinched a win rather than earnt one.

On a side note, how good is Nic Nat? Would have to be close to one of the most improved players in the league IMO. He always had the athleticism but it seems to me his reading of the play and positioning has improved out of sight this season. He was probably the difference between the two sides tonight.

Pretty happy with his progress IMO. Not setting the world on fire but will be an extremely handy asset in a potential premiership tilt. Don't write him off preemptively.

I think Most WCE supporters like myself tend to look at the Cats like our cryptonite, During our Premiership period we always struggled to win against you guys and when we were shiat the last 3 years we were smashed by the Cats, So to be able to compete at the level that Geelong play for 4 QTRs is a remarkable effort for any side and make No mistake that the way Geelong go about their footy has set a higher standard for the rest of the Comp.
We all measure ourselves against the best teams and when you play a team with the Ability of the Cats you can only hope to break even.

Great fight back tonight Geelong and Good luck with the rest of the year and Hopefully we dont play you guys till deep in the finals..

I really enjoyed tonights win! I have so much respect for the Cats (i dont like coach scott much tho, for some reason i get this feeling that he's ungrateful, dunno!)

Anyway to see us win against Cats, wow it's amazing. I don't care if the Pies are reigning premiers or premiership favourites.. The Cats in the last 5 or so years have played as a team better than everyone else! Have said it before but they're very admirable and Menzel looks good despite the misses!

I'm so proud of our boys! When Embley kicked that goal and then Pods hitting the wood work.. Far out!!

Really good team effort from everyone tonight!

For the time being, Swift is better imo and Gaff needs at least one pre-season in the gym before becoming a regular.
