Watching Hawthorn beat Geelong in a Grand Final ? Never. Gets. Old

Thumbs up Channel 7 (never thought I'd say that)

Next up we'll have 2008 followed by the piece de resistance which is 2014.

Thanks in advance

so much quality on display. Even Madigan looks the goods. forgot just how much we had the game wrapped up late in 3rd quarter leading by 39 points. if we lost this it wld have been a disaster

Dipper takes out Hocking (payback for him taking out Platten) and we get 2 quick goals against the momentum.
Won us the game IMO.
Now just waiting for Ablett to get Dipper.
having the luxury of the likes of Anderson kicking 4 and Curran 3 to complement champs like Dunstall, Derm and Buckenera is what won us the flag.

Did Brownless do anything in this game?

Pretty sure Ablett fixed up Dipper in the first quarter.

Brownless was a nothing footballer.

It explains why he's so keen on Geelol now.
It's vicarious success.

198 games, 441 goals. That isn't nothing, it's certainly a damn sight better than I did. You too, I'd hazard a guess.

I didn't compare his footy to mine, but I'm sure he couldn't do my job either.
Unless he suddenly gained 40 IQ points!

He's still a very ordinary footballer who happened to play in a forward line containing Gary Ablett Snr.

You compared his football to all other footballers, and there are a lot of those. Of all the people who played football this year, only about 500 managed AFL games. I would say Brownless was an above average AFL player.

The most ordinary, nothing AFL players are still great footballers, even Dennis Armfield. Forgetting this is disrespectful to the competition, including the Hawks. You lessen the efforts of our club in doing so.
