I'll see your Huey Lewis and the News and I'll raise you Katrina and the Waves.

I couldn't stand this shit song back in the 80's and still hate it. We had an 80's themed work party this year and I advised the boss that if some bastard played this at any point of the evening, he'd be having to deal with Worksafe regarding a death at a company function. Katrina can GAGF!!

Lol i'll see ur Katrina and Gaso's Heuy Lewis and raise u anything that came out of Rick Ashley's mouth..

Dude, you've got weird taste - Katrina's awesome. One of the best songs of the 80's, IMO.

99 luftbaloons by german band nena though it was for a good cause anti war and all that.

Even though we laugh at them now i understand what LtK means re Katrina they were big hits of the 80's and kind of fit in at the time it was a great decade with some great music and styles that are one of a kind...

Original German version was superb. I was proud that us Aussies didn't require the English Red Balloon version. That was inferior and only necessary because of the xenophobic Septics.

I was hopelessly infatuated with Nena.
She still looks bloody fantastic today.

ruddy bank/valuer/LMI insurer pack of currants may have ruined Xmas for the Peanut family. Thought we'd bought a house but the "subject to finance" clause expires tomorrow and the campaigners still haven't given us a response after 2 full ruddy weeks.

Hope it all works out mate!

I am staggered with the price differential between City and Regional houses.

And going by that pic...avoid fast food outlets today.

Good luck. Often these peasants drag things out to the last moment, I hope this is the case and that it goes through today.

I am a bit grumpy today.

Only 144 Australians bought Redfoos album in 2016.

144 individuals.

Poor Redfoo
The world would be better off without those 144 individuals and Redpoo.

We Didn't Start The Fire was the 90s, right? Because that is truly the apotheosis of shit songs, forming a nexus of multidimensional awfulness from uninspired "melody" to dull arrangement to self-aggrandizing banality to simply being Billy ****ing Joel.

Don't worry be happy was 88 we didn't start the fire was 89. I may or may not have had both songs on cassingle. Don Henley licks balls

I mean obviously We Built This City is the worst song of the 80s. Don Henley gave it a run with pretty much anything he released but a special shout out to Dirty Laundry for extra self indulgent shitness.

I was on a basketball tour of The States in '86 and we hit Disneyland one day and bloody Starship were performing live on the stage near one of the dining areas, so that song, whilst bloody annoying, stuck with me as a good memory of the time. That's often the case too.

On the flipside at my yr 11 formal one of my mates came over to tell me my then date was pashing another of my mates out the back and the song playing at the time was none other than Walking on Sunshine. So that's stuck in my head for a very different reason.

True stories!
