Maybe I'm getting old but are the 2010s rivalling the 80s as the worst ever decade for music.

The other half listens to Nova.... FFS they play some crap. I had to get up because I couldn't stand the robot auto tune voice of some turkey singing the latest fresh shit.

It's the miscellaneous poxy tweety keyboard they insert into almost every song that shits me. It sounds outdated NOW.

I agree. I'm still stuck in the 90s when it comes to music. Use to listen to JJJ, now only listen to the hottest 100 and most of the top 10 are songs that have been flogged to death on commercial radio. Pure shite.

The live music scene is dead in the bush....punctuated by live on the Green events...of great live acts from the 1980s

Absolutely. Venues closed down, pokies taking over.

I am the ultimate old fogie at my cricket club when the young blokes start talking about Falls or any other festival, I go into Grandpa Simpson mode and say back in my day we didn't have to travel 3 hours to see good music. I saw bands like Midnght Oil, The Angels, Hoodo Gurus, Barnzy etc live in town. A bit before my time but even AC/DC played down here.

I used to "keep up" with today's music to foster another connection with my daughters. I vowed not to say the stuff my parents said about our music. And I did really well up until about two years ago when it officially, unequivocally turned to SHITE on radio.

Remember at school in the '70s a mate said " every song that could possibly have been written, has."

Graduation of rap confirmed it for me.

Went to record store day earlier in the year, my mate picked up the best of Roxette for $1
Yeah, your "mate" bought it.
Patrick Hernadez. He was " Born to be alive "

Lucky he didn't get shot over that atrocity.
Leave Hernandez alone. The man knew how to rock a jazz cane like an absolute boss.

Day before christmas and petrol magically goes up 8 ****ing cents.

As if Tasmanians weren't already being ripped off enough with petrol prices.

Too bad I'm too young for the 80s. Well versed with 90s and early 2000s stuff though. Those 15 or so years were really the peak as far as I can tell
