So I do a dummy run to see what it costs to fly from Melbourne to Las Vegas in August 2017...thinking to go at same time in 2018.
Then did the same for Broome WA.
Both cost about the same for a couple... $2200 give or take.
Now which would you choose?
Seoul or Tokyo![]()
^^ fwiw this is for Grumpy 50th Birthday in 2018.
Wat should I do for it?
Can't see myself doing much for my 100th.
Sounds a bit tame after Gasso's adventure in Thailand. But I would recommend Samoa. You cannot be grumpy there unless air New Zealand does what they did to us, and sends all of your luggage to LA. But amazingly, air paradise retrieved it, flew it back and even cleared it through customs for us, and paid for a taxi to get me to and from the airport. We never even flew with them. That is Samoa. Why not tropical ? Fiji, Samoa, Marqueses.

And everything runs on " rubber time " or jam karet as the lndo's call it.
They used to have hidden cameras on tripods here. (The courts later ruled that speed cameras had to be visible).
and yet they say they aren't revenue raising ...........
The Samoans are pretty laid back but I have to say rubber time in Indo does take the cake. Planning to be in central Java in July so we will see if anything has changed since our last visit.
JogjaWhereabouts ?
Jogja
Decided to accompany my mother and sisters on a bit of a trip up to newcastle as one of my mother's friends lives up here. Terrible mistake. Only male in the house with 5 females including a two year old. The only times I've enjoyed myself were when I took the dog for an evening walk around the area (20-30mins each time).
My sisters and mother went to the cinemas to see a girly film (I stayed at the place where we're staying), they went into a massive shopping centre (i went to a library and read a few astronomy books) and went to a beach or something the other day. I'm not sure whether I've actually felt this excluded before, should have stayed at home with the old man. Could have popped down to a few north training sessions or something.

Ahhhh one was called "astronomy of the milkyway - observer's guide to the southern sky" by a bloke called mike inglis. The others were more general and not as good, just encyclopedias .Which astronomy books ?
Nice place. Not been there since '86. Try Semarang & Ungaran too.

93 or 94 since we were there last. We will stay put in Jogjakarta this time. Plenty to see and do in that area. Not even slinging a backpack on this trip, although in years gone by, we fund Indo to be a great place to travel around. Terima kasih Pak perarah.
