Righto, who has a simple, decent recipe for curried sausages?

The first tosser to mention "the zest of a lemon" goes on ignore for eternity.

There isn’t. They are rubbish.

Instead get two bottles of pasta slow cooking sauce (tall bottles not those ten minute jars) garlic, seasoning and put your sausages in the sauce and cook for 6 hours in an oven or slow cooker. Throw in some pork ribs at the start for extra flavour.

Then throw out the sausages and eat the ribs?

Nah, these are good quality German pork sausages.

my basic "keens" version, can of chopped tomatoes, open puree with bamix put aside, parboil the snags then slice and brown, whilst browning also caramelise sliced brown onions, then add some brown sugar and the curry mix to the pan, when onions are tranparent and browned begin stirring in the tomato pulp then reduce and serve. that recipe was our go to camping oven version for a long time, easy to reheat at the end of a nights drinking as well.

Sounds good to me. I'll toss in some finely diced capsicum as well. :thumbsu:

Serve on some rice with finely diced carrots & peas. Done.

Cheers.

Really ? Thought they would have stopped making them years ago. Something you'd pick up at a garage sale but would need repair.

Isn't it just an acoustic feedback device?

Thank me later - this is one of my absolute faves.

CURRIED SAUSAGES

10 to 12 thin sausages

2 onions sliced

2 to 4 teaspoons curry powder

2 tablespoons mango chutney

1 to 2 teaspoons cornflour

¼ to ½ cup water

Fry sausages until brown and slice into small pieces.

Fry the onion in a little oil until soft.

Add curry powder and mango chutney and mix together.

Mix cornflour and water then blend into onion mixture. Stir until thickens.

Add sausages and heat through.

Serve with rice.

Thanks GK, although the mango stuff is getting very close to "zest of lemon" territory..
