How do you buy an album these days?

I used to know. Records, cassettes, CDs. I even had a big collection on Google Music before they folded. I managed to transfer everything to YouTube, but now I hear adds when I try to listen to my own records.

I don't even know how to buy a record at all now. What do you guys use? I don't have an iphone, that seems to be the main online shop.

I thought you can buy albums through Google Music (if you have an android)
JBHiFi if you want physical CD/Record, could try through eBay etc

I am hearing you guys about spotify and ripping illegally, but I still like to reward the artist if I really like what they are putting down.

It seems that itunes is the main way to go these days, but I'm android. I suppose I could buy a cd....but I don't have a cd player anymore.

I have.....it's shit. I am still listening to adds in my own purchased collection. But thanks for the suggestion. It's quite possible that I am doing it wrong.

It's a problem. In the 90's I'd buy an album every payday, lifted straight off the RRR playlist.

Now I haven't bought one for about 3 years, and I 'm not sure how I'd buy one even if I wanted to.

I used to have around 500 CDs and 250 records but don't have any CDs or records now except for a couple of collectables or ones with my photos on the cover artwork.

I ripped all my CDs before I got rid of them and now use Spotify. I rarely listen to any of the rips.

Spotify is pretty good. Not perfect. I've had Spotify premium for years now and overall am satisfied.

I mention it cos you mentioned RRR. Its a good place for independent, up and coming bands. They put out free stuff and you can buy it and the money either goes to them with a small fee or band camp gets a percentage. Can't remember which.

Its a good way to find new music and support artists you like if they are on there. Tho I haven't really looked at it for a while.

There's more music in the world than there ever was and more people making it every year.

Yikes the craft beers did a little number on me yesterday. Little bit dangerous on a hot day when they go down so well. Apparently according to the missus me standing on a table and mooning the other patrons wasn't appreciated.... Not in the good books today and prolly take a little bit more than a coffee to smooth over. She said I really shouldn't drink if I can't behave.
