Well, the Cockies haven't dug up the pitch so I guess it works but I'm not sure there'd be a big market for knocked off Owls.

The cockies between Anglesea and Lorne are in the thousands thanks to the farking tourists feeding them!

We had a demented bird banging into one of our windows so I printed a picture of Gasometer's owl and stuck it to the inside of the glass. We never saw that bird again but the cat jumped up and shredded the owl after a few days of stalking it

those sort of days are not a great metric to rate towns where there are influxes of out of towners, i find ( and luckily for me i work shift work) that midweeks and off peak times are the best to go to these kinda places,

The beach line from Tocumwal to Cobram is so crowded with Campers now compared to 20 to 35 years ago looks like a rather unpleasant experience

And this is another great reason to camp well away from the usual haunts. It's why I and a few others here go fairly remote.

Bifentheren for the win, mix a litre or 2 as it comes in a concentrate and after dark with red celophane over a torch pour it in.

Does great wedges, hand cut and season whilst frying. We have the tefal style one with an agitator arm.

EDIT: i sometimes season with the aldi peri peri spice grinder
